@evoprimes According to your logic, you would complete a game, then bring it back to store and ask for a refund of all your ingame purchases, do you realize how stupid that is?

You can't tell me that your ESO never worked and you were still dumb enough to pay extra money.

Never worked properly, yes. I regret my decision of buying this game and crowns.

Great you can regret however you like, but YOU were the one who paid for crowns despite knowing all that. You can't ask for a refund of a service that was provided to you good enough that you felt the need to pay extra.

I agree that there is a persistent lag, but I have searched the forums and other popular chat sights and discovered a few things that actually worked for helping improve performance on my end. The player fixes took the game from "unplayable" to "poor" and even "decent" performance levels at times --even in Cyrodil. I can't remember all of them, but running windows 10, and disabling cortana is one example. I did see an improvement. There are fixes out there. Some helped, some did not. Be careful to back up your system prior to trying any of the fixes that involve semi-permanent changes to your operating system. Also, if you run a lot of mods, try disabling the ones you don't need prior to entering Cyrodil. Not saying that mods are the culprit, but my reasoning is the less background processes your pc has to do while in Cyrodil, the better.

Well, I've recently re-started playing Guild Wars 2. It's amazing how so many things are so much better handled on that game that is much older. I'm not talking "which game is better" here, it's a matter of taste, just "which game has its tech straight", and on that ESO is a clear loser.

But hey, no worries, they're working on it. They took a year to acknowledge there was an issue, one more to start working on it, and they're gonna need a whole year to get it done, all the while doing it backwards, ending with the database optimisation which should have been step one.

So, I get why you're pissed, OP. But I doubt you will get anything out of it.

Honestly, they only thing you can do is walk away fro mthe game, and avoid falling into the sunk cost fallacy.

Nothing will improve, my friend. They just want money, they are not interested in fixing anything.

They are working on stuff that should help.
Now they had to delay the Aoe Update and that is something they are having problems and its stressing the servers. So stuff from Greymoor should help but I won't expect it to be a big improvement. Hopefully by the end of the year the game will at least be a lot better when it comes to performance.

yes... yes... all the fixes so far have done wonders... wait sorry no they havent. not at all.

Yeah, like the dragons hitting you with their cheated "kills everything no matter how high the defense and HP" attacks BEFORE you can see them attack. Just to give one exemple.

Yes it would, but not in the way you are thinking.

If we don't complain about all the things that affects our experience, they won't know what to fix. The worst part is they are lazy and they don't fix it.

Complain and post threads all you want , it is very very clear that the community is never listened to , is not respected or cared about by Zeni , many many months of feedback has been given on the PTS and directly to the dev team and nothing gets taken in to account and that’s a fact anyone who has tested patches since morrowind can tell you , there is a very specific strategy employed by the company which is to get as much money from us as possible no matter how crappy the product , all the time people are spending money ZoS won’t see any performance problems as a priority, it will never change unless players quit playing and spending , which they won’t , whales will be whales regardless.

No amount of forum posting will change anything , this will be locked before long and deleted amongst the 6 million other threads about the poor game performance that have been ignored , they just don’t care about the players.

If indeed you have quit like you say then why come on here and rant about something you are not even a part of anymore?

I rant because after two years I've seen absolutely no progress. I think it's a very fair reaction.

I tried once, i.e. I was so p***ed of that was ready to delete account and lose all progress if they will return at least part of money. Steam answer was like "you have 2k+ hours played, refund? lol"

Surely that would have been a request for refund of the game itself?

What would 2K+ hours played have to do with a refund of purchased Crowns?

You made the choice to buy the stuff on the crown store with real money just like the rest of us, no one forced me and no one forced you.

Unless what you bought from the crown store was not as advertised, don't see any grounds for a refund.

I've bought those when the game was in a certain state to support the devs. After 2 years, nothing improved. I have all the rights to request a refund. I've spent 0 crowns since then.

Well you could uninstall the game but because you have had the game for 4 years they are not legally bound to offer it after that long.
That is like saying hey, I got this light bulb it quit working, and I had it for 5 years. I want a refund it quit working.

    No, it's not.

Lightbulbs have a certain time-limited lifespan, as they are physical and perishable goods.

They are also not tied-in to some other purchase/hired item, to be usable.

Whereas, in-game items are not physical, or perishable and so, do not have a limited lifespan and are inexorably linked to (satisfactory) game access.

In other words, the only limits on their use are artifically imposed by the company selling (or hiring) them.

If you bought (or hired) a digital good, that could only be used in a game, it would be reasonable to expect that game to: a) be accessible for a reasonable amount of time, after your purchase, b) be accessible the vast majority of that time and c) work properly, so you could enjoy your purchase (or hired item) properly.

As a customer, it is your right to ask for whatever you want from them. And they have the right to deny your request.

But if they give you a refund, let us know. I have 28700 crowns just sitting there from past subs with nothing to spend them on. I would love to get cash for that with no news of a new kind of assistant or more character slots.

I have over 60k unspent crowns. I really hoped that the game will get better.... I will keep you updated.
