I built a Vamp Magblade on PTS using Hollowfang. It was quite nice. I think the the skill lines work well together. Just a thought though.
There definitely needs to be some tweaks. Also considering some of the stuff NPC get, it's like "why didn't players."
The penalties need be tweaked a bit, but like the controversy it's making about people saying it's worth going vamp or not.
At same time there could be some tweaks to make abilities better.
There needs be some tweaks to make people who want to commit to being a vampire not feel weaker than those who stay at stage 1, passive lockout isn't enough. And people already bypassed the vampire costs not being decreased because they aren't expensive to start.
Also, there's an official feedback thread so they can gather how everyone is experiencing the vamp changes.
Been playing Vamp MagBlade for years, but only because of the Dark Stalker passive, removing the speed penalty from crouching is huge for mobility in PvP.
Finally I will be able to get this passive at Stage 1 and not at Stage 4, so I will not get all the extra fire dmg.
Imo, MagBlade only need to be Stage 1 for that passive (pair it with Concealed Weapon for 25% extra speed). Its not worth going above Stage 1 unless you really want to play "Vampire Class".
After some extensive testing on PTS, I agree. The only thing you lose from the passives that is potentially better is the undeath damage reduction. Nothing else in the skill line is worth using except for Blood Frenzy, and when coupled with swallow soul, the health drain is completely nullified. Just don't forget to turn it off on occasion, heh.
Yeah between Swallow Souland Siphoning Strikes, you can almost permanently keep Simmering Frenzy on and use Blood for Blood as a spammable. Been farming the Ritual Sites like this and it's been quite nice.
