Can I upgrade my Eso that I purchased through steam from the ESO Online store?

I want to purchase the upgrade to Greymoor but with all the drama I've had since buy the game from steam and ESO Plus I want to move away from Steam.

If I was to purchase the Greymoor upgrade or a full new game the Greymoor with base game would I still be able to keep my current account and characters?

If you buy just Greymoor upgrade your account will stay linked to Steam.
If you buy base game from ZOS (with or without Greymoor), you will be able to log in without Steam.
In both cases your account remain as is, with all your previously bought stuff and characters. My BF who was on Steam recently bought just base game from ZOS, and kept access to all chapters.
