Vampire Ideas.

Honestly I rarely post, and there are other people brighter and with maybe better ideas, but I want to help make it better.

So the vampire skill line. I think a lot of the ideas are not bad, some really good. Others horrible.

The feeding. Feeding animations are great, a little more polish and it would be perfect. However, the feeding mechanics are horrible. In what world eso or other does feeding reduce vampire heal rates? Sure they need some penalty but a stage 4 vampire gets ZERO healing from feeding? It should be like you can only heal from vampire abilities or from feeding, and while stage 4 feeding is 100% heal.

Eviscerate. Well. Honestly I would remove this skill from the game or I would change it to a toggle that allows for vampire claws. Similar to how the psijic order mend wounds work except melee and damage. Also for one of the morphs to be a stamina melee morph. The other could be magicka melee or Ranged blood siphoning. But both should deal damage and heal for a percent of the damage. Or something. As someone else said it feels like a wet noodle, my wife agreed with that statement. lol

blood frenzy I like the idea a bit but.. that self dot is horrible. Again, why does a vampire that goes into a blood frenzy kill themselves? shouldn't t be like it drains both stam and magicka in exchange for damage and slight heal based on damage dealt while toggled? As for the morphs. I was thinking something like one of them you can no longer block or dodge but your damage and health drain are increased up to 50% for vampire abilities. While the other If while toggled you gain Fortitude and minor or major evasion, but lose a portion of the bonus damage from the base ability. Both you can't heal except for yourself with vampire abilities.

Vampiric drain. Base is fine, it works alright, but the morphs are a little.. bleh. For Drain Vigor I would turn it into a stamina ability first off make it do physical damage, and have it reduce healing on target while the player gets a bonus heal and stamina boost after it fully tics also the animation would stay red. As for exhilarating drain, I would keep it mostly how it is but slightly reduce damage in favor of adding 1 second to the tick and make the animation more purple.

As for Mesmerize, I would keep it mostly the same, but allow for a synergy that other vampires can feed on your target, advancing a stage and healing but not an instant kill if in combat. [ kinda like how the old quest had those dudes feed on you, it would use that animation or something like it. ]

While the morphs I would make Hypnosis also grant minor berserk if at least one target is affected for 10 seconds. For stupidity Killing any target while affected will heal and grant minor vitality.

Mist form. I would give the base form major expedition. Full stop. First morph would be bat swarm. Basically the same as blood mist but with slightly reduced damage in but with more healing scaling. Second is Noxious fumes. Convert into a stamina ability, and add two debuffs, Minor defile and minor vulnerability for 5 seconds that refresh as long as toggled.

Blood Scion. This needs an absolute rework. It is simply a re-skin version of bone goliath with less hp, and less soul. I would change the base form into a semi toggle like werewolf. And allow feeding mid combat as an execute if targets hp is 20% or lower. Of course not working on bosses and the like. Also remove the the player's weapon in favor claw attacks, Dealing physical damage with heavy attack draining hp. Also you get perfect scion at max rank. eg level 4 blood scion. Thus no drawbacks to vampire only while in this form.

Morphs for swarming scion i would change the name to, Lord Scion or something. And make it so you can spawn 1 gargoyle to fight along side you, your claws poison enemies making them take damage over time and slowing them. while also healing a portion of damage done.

As for the other morph I would change perfect Scion to Night Scion, Allowing you to use long range blood siphoning that siphons blood that heals you and your team while dealing damage with all vampire damaging abilities, also grants access to wings and hovering granting major evasion and minor expedition.

As for the stages. I would kinda change it. First off. HELL no to normal abilities costing more. It should be a curse sure but it should still be fun, which is why people play the game for fun not to be tortured. Personally I think the penalties should be balanced. So feeding feels rewarding and taxing. Same with starving. With starving vampire skills cost more and deal slightly more damage and get less natural health recovery but more from vampire skills also more effective blood frenzy. Also you look uglier the more you don't feed. So the flip would be the opposite with skills costing less, deal slightly less damage than a starving vampire, more natural recovery but a less effective blood frenzy. Also no matter the stage you get 15-20% fire damage resistance decrease.

So something like. Stage 1 = fed. 4 = starved.

Vampire skill damage bonus: 0%/5%/10%/20%
Vampire skill heath recovery: 50%/75%/100%/150%
Natural heath recovery: 100%/ 50%/25%/0% [ 100% = now with a fed vampire.]
Vampire ability cost: 40%/ 60%/ 80%/100% [ 100% = how skills are handled now at fed vampire.]
Blood frenzy bonus: 0% / 33% / 66% / 100% [ 0% = how it is now with no bonus.]
All stages receive 15-20% more fire damage.
Feeding fully heals the vampire and continues healing for the entire duration of the feed.

Another thing on feeding, I think the hungrier you are the more savage the animation should be, while the more fed you are the less savage and less reckless. Or leave it as is not sure.

So thats how I would do it. Btw it is 15 OR 20% I am not good at number crunching or even thinking of every angle of damage but I thought it would be a start.

So like I said I am not really that good at posting in forums nor am I at thinking of whats wrong with my ideas, but I am very open to criticism and want to learn, perhaps something here is at least decent.
