We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European console megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

3 idea’s to fix perfected weapons, that make it rewarding for the effort.

1. The stat is actually applied to the skill on cast.
eg - Casting Volley gives you 633 crit damage for the duration.

2. Add the stat to a proc condition. Eg - Dealing Crit damage gives you 633 crit damage for X seconds.

3. Every Perfected Weapon can have 2 traits. Eg Infused & Precise.

The current standard they have proposed is very lacklustre and really doesn’t reward the player for completing harder content. Especially weapons that are on the back bar.

That probably would increase the server load by adding a separate buff that needs to be kept track of.
But the idea itself is good! I wonder if it could be modified to be a static buff yet achieve the same goal...
The 3rd option is the closest thing, but it's weird.

This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

Players aren't completing harder content. It's the same content as before.

Infused and Charged would be a great combo for a back bar weapon.

I think the intention is that the bonus is very minor. It's like diminishing returns. Yes, it's better, but not to the degree that the difficulty in acquisition would imply. It's done this way on purpose so that the elite tier players get a small bonus to their overall skill set and nothing so powerful that it renders the lesser version pointless.

Vet is harder than normal and it’s not worth upgrading your vma staff for some extra pen you done need.

Put it this way, would you farm AS HM for the perfected Staff for the same condition as normal, only to get 103 spell damage. No, you will just farm it on normal.

These ideas would be good in theory, but zos is not concerned with rewarding players for doing harder content. It’s obvious that their goal is to give everyone access to these weapons, and the “perfected” counterparts seem to be more of an afterthought.

Two traits would be really cool tbh.

    Could be OP though too.

I really like these ideas, OP.

Devs need to realize that it is okay for things to be a little bit OP sometimes and that it's okay to live a life outside of their spreadsheets.

Fun in action games is usually derived from power and one only feels genuinely powerful when something that they are doing is, in fact, a little bit OP.

Nobody cares about Penetration on a back-bar weapon and certainly nobody will feel even one smidge more powerful.

Any back bar option is trash. It’s really on even worth running VMA or VDSA or any Arena on vet now, for a laughable bonus.

It just needs to be balanced, as right now the extra stat is inconsistent and just about useless.
