Anyone Remember When Weapons Got The 2 Slot Upgrade?

How many changes have there been?
I can’t remember if that was all at the same time or if moving the Maelstrom ability from enchant to set piece was different?
It was some time ago and my memory is foggy about how this was done, but I recall there was a Mail that had some Maelstrom DW weapons attached.
Well, they weren’t BiS for anything and quite possibly Bugged for a good period of time, but I clearly remember no one freaking cared.
Ability altering weapons before we’re treated like an enchantment if I remember right. In fact, if you enchanted you’re maelstrom staff, if null and voided the maelstrom enchant; making it like a regular non set piece stave.
Can you use “stave” and “staff” interchangeably? IDK?
Back on subject: I got a mail with some Maelstrom DW that probably got de-con because inventory space is an issue for me. At that time, I’ve no idea how many DW I’d already had and disposed of; but I only got one pair in the mail. I couldn’t care less, I wasn’t using them anyways.
Well the point is they couldn’t change them for some reason, but no one seemed to really care. But now there’s outrage because it involves a longstanding best in slot (BiS) piece.
I think it’s a good change. And I think it will help a lot of people out. And I think people that couldn’t do vet before will have an easier time if they get ahold of their choice arena weapons from normal. I know how to the arena goes; and getting that bow made a monster difference for me.
The Maelstrom Arena Is Still A Place Of The Get Güd
There’s so many other related things to talk about here, but for me I know coming out of a maelstrom run makes me feel like a finely honed wrecking machine. Of course I’m not barely passing this by the skin of my teeth, which is a completely different feeling. Any which way about it, the place is made to be fun and reasons to do it again.

I quite clearly remember holding on to a Vet 14 or CP 140 Masters Inferno for a long time before finally deleting it. Never got a new anything in the mail for that one. But it wasn’t or quite possible never has been a BiS weapon so...again, no one cares.
I can’t barely remember when they changed them; but I think that’s when they also got a pretty significant buff. And still weren’t BiS for anything,
