Don't know about your contribution to the game but Sola is known on PC EU for creating quite succesfull PvE guild and leading with success AD group in Cyro. Maybe her leaving wouldn't be enough to really harm the game health but she is right about many veteran players leaving or considering leaving the game. Ppl with experience, who often contribute more to the game (from teaching new players to paying A LOT for crowns, etc) and who are definietely more valuable to the community then some no name from forum.
ZOS show us lately that they can hear the feedback so they should hear the players concern about the vma re-farm issue. Also they should finally fix their game as performance is pathetic and their fixes like "performance patch" only makes things worse. -

Well regarding battle spirit, its not even on PTS yet, could change. Personally I like the change, then again I find builds too survivable these days, I prefer shorter battles. -

Honestly I think the change to vMA and vDSA is fine, it's old content. If you're getting great DPS numbers already then this won't affect you that much.Aldmeri Dominion

I just want to say that Sola is indeed a known name in PC EU and I had the chance to have been lead by her in Cyro with AD.
I understand her frustration because during months she voiced the many problems occurring both in PvP and Pve on the forum.
So I'm Sad to read that statement and hope she will come back in the future

That's dishonest and unfair.
In the world of pvp, every ounce of stats matters. If your opponents have even a tiny bit more than you then all other things being equal, we'd bet on the opponents winning.
Personally I don't pvp and wouldn't invest the effort. Wasn't aware of this. But on examination it doesn't look like great news and people are talking about it.
The repetitive gear grind treadmill has been a staple of MMOs since their inception, though usually takes the form of increasing the level cap. Games like ESO and GW2 don't do that, but and do crap like this instead. Not outright making already farmed gear obsolete but introducing slight upgrades.
Point is - obviously this content IS NOT FUN or players would want to do it regardless of rewards. Rather than making this and other content enjoyable, ZO decided to force players back onto the gear treadmill to keep their gear maxed for PvP.
Just one in a very long line of *** moves they've made over the past couple of years which understandably is going to drive players away. -

WoW will increase the level cap with a new expansion. You grind your new gear in the new content. They don't make you go back to content released 5 years ago. -

That is a fair distinction. But they're still not totally different and yours isn't the whole story.
ESO has released multiple expansions without increasing the level cap. I don't pvp or worry about that level of optimization. I've largely been wearing the same gear ever since I hit CP 160 and I effortlessly steamroll over everything including the "group" events in public dungeons.
I've not really played WOW since Burning Crusades, but I assume it's still the case that every expansion increases the level cap and restarts the max level gear grind for everyone. The lowest level gear in the new expansion is typically better than at least the lowest of the max level gear from the previous expansion.
And while you've taken issue that with single comparison to WOW, the clear sentiment of my post was in support of the OP and others not happy about this change.Edited by Nerouyn on April 19, 2020 4:22AM -

Have to say it kind of sucks, I don't partically enjoy maelstrom arena and damn it my staff was well earned, probably my hardest earned item I own in the game. Now it's going to become loot trash and I'm going to have to run content again which is frankly boring just to have the shiney staff again?

Dmg isnt the issue. Team players strive to do the best they can for their party.
Actually dmg is an issue. If I took your attitude to every piece of equipment then the sum effect would be significant. -

It has nothing to do with the spec of the gear that has everyone griping... The issue is that after grinding 50+ times to get a staff, our achievement is just invalidated.
Imagine if the title "God-slayer" was restructured to be achieved on a standard nSS run. So all that hard work people did to get God-slayer to begin with is invalidated, and they have to re-run it just to get the "real" title back... but wait... its much worse, lets hide that title behind rng while we are about it.
Seriously, people defending this move by zos boggle the mind.
