What issues can deleting saved variables file solve?

Occasionally I'll see this suggested for different problems that arise for people. My situation is that the dungeon finder has been glitched for me, for 5 days now. I've cued as tank, heals and dps, with and without people in my group as well as all different hours of the day or night. The cue sticks and trying to leave the cue does nothing, I've even logged out and back in to discover that I'm still cued for a dungeon.

SavedVariables file stores primarily user setting so deleting it will not help you at all. Your best bet is to write a support ticket, reply to the auto-reply and get ready to sit and wait for a week or so until a real person gets to your ticket.

Having done that (submit tickets) for both the events of a completely broken and unusable GF, over the past week and the prior event a month ago when this first happened for me, I’d say that in either case nothing will help you with this issue. I’m still waiting (not really anymore) for ZOS to reply to my first set of ticket mailings I sent over a month ago about being unable to use the GF at all. Just accept that they can’t fix it and will never communicate their inability to do so. The GF may temporarily get somewhat better after the next server reboot. Well, so I keep telling myself. But it will break again and again.
