There's an new village upcoming in Greymoor found in the south part of the zone, where Broken Tower Redoubt was in Tes V called Karthwatch
I think it's quite obvious that
Karthwatch is not so creatively derived from the nearby
Karthwasten, which according to the map would be found just across the bridge, best case scenario the town is just named after the river or valley itself. I mean, there's literally a 3-letter difference, if the devs wanted to add a Karthwasten settlement then they shoulda added it under the same name and location, not as some sort of copy that fulfills the same thing while appearing to be different.
I propose the town's name should be changed to
Snowhawk, one of the
very first known city-states Skyrim ever, being around since 1994. Take a look at the Arena map, Karthwatch is literally in the exact location that is already:
Changing the name would help connect lore and continuity between games, and avoid any confusion between Karthwatch and Karthwasten. It would be way better to use original Arena lore rather than create something based very poorly off of a re-used settlement from Tes V, and Snowhawk is a much cooler name with its bird of prey, eagle-frost imagery to begin with, just check out its Arena intro quote:
."We bid you enter Snowhawk, where the wind is as sharp as its talons and as fierce as its name..."
Snowhawk might've appeared as a fort in but it never got the treatment it deserved as a proper settlement in Skyrim, ESO has a chance to change that. Hope you all agree and that the devs change this before launch
