Launcher patch/update today - what was it for? (PC/NA, March 24)

I can't see any difference myself, but was it intended to fix the missing messages for some older (esp Win7) systems? Or was the change for something else?

Got unceremoniusly booted while playing. Then saw the launcher update pop up without any heads up. It would have been nice to give us a heads up or an ingame notification perhaps?

So yes please, what was the update about? (especially as it was pushed out so suddenly)
