Incap finally stuns again but not to make balance better

So we got a change in an incremental patch that has been wanted for almost a year now after incap lost its stun and got an awkward silence.

Countless posts emerged saying it's a bad debuff and often becomes a detriment for the Nightblade.

But those post were ignored for all this time.
I haven't seen the Devs publicly stating that they absolutely don't care about our feedback this obvious since them saying casttimes aren't liked by the majority of the player base but they'll keep them.
And now they're telling us that the change only happened because the coding effort was too big to keep the silence in the game.

Now we can only pray that patches in the future make casttimes impossible so every single skill loses them and we once again have a somewhat reactive gameplay in pvp

I am very happy with that. Finally that ultimate is usefull against Staminatargets again.

The ingame description still says silence though, I wonder if they *** it up already.

Feels good knowing that the only way to get rid of a bad mechanic is if it causes severe coding issues with some other in-game mechanic.

Let´s pray that the cast time on the skill causes some sever coding malfunction in a not so distant future and we might get that reverted as well

Yeah its Pretty sad that it took the silence doing unintended stuff for zos ro return the stun back to incap instead of the pseudo cc that was the silence.

Curious if the bug only affected the incap silence or also other sources of silence. Negate just too good to lose to a nerf! Still good that incap got its stun back.

Also: "Fixed a crash that would sometimes occur during high volumes of combat."
    ^ anyone crashed yet?

I'd have more confidence in the game;'s direction if they lied and said, "Yeah, we realized after a year it was a dumb change so we're ditching it."
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    The old incap was overloaded
Old, as if maybe in 1.6 or something. Back then it costed 50 ulti and and had stun & defile. On the other hand, it could still be dodged & blocked.
Pre - Elsweyr Incap (Murkmire - Wrathstone) was fine imho. It had 70 ulti cost and stun at 120, but no cast time.

    But wait...

    *Looks at Blastbones*
^ The old Incap was Underperforming :joy::D

Anyway, the biggest tragedy imho is that NB was nerfed hard last year, just push ppl to use Necro. It is hard not to see that.
Tbh. If you are Sorc, Templar, DK or basically "any" base game class main - stuff like that should not happen. To nerf base game stuff, just to push new content. Sadly though, it still happens (Ice Heart set for example).

So be careful what you ask for. Ppl for example ask for new class, lets say Monk. Monk will probably mean Templar heavy nerfs. So keep that in mind, when asking for new stuff.

The patch notes specifically refer to "the unique silence from this ability", so other sources of silence should not be affected.

They already nerfed templar to make warden look more appealing when they came out, templars are used to it already.

But this "stun" do not work... This game is only for cancer-tanks. Thanks to this new combat-"designers" team. In ancient times of Orsinium and Imperial City i was thinking, that there is no way to make pvp-balance worse, but this guys show us - there is nothing impossible xD

And it's dodgeable. I have the absolute worst timing ever in PvP, casting Incap at the same moment my target decides to roll.

    Soon :
    Nightblade

    Assassination

Incapacitating Strike: This Ultimate no longer stun the target, but instead silence them for 3 seconds if cast with 120 or more Ultimate. This change was primarily done to fix an issue where the target affected by the stun was still be able to move.
