It is like that since they "fixed" dungeon finder, cant remember how many times i had people open the map to convince them it is indeed vet.

As clever and original as this insult is, it would help if a bit more information could be provided - such as where you're currently seeing this- so we can pinpoint the issue and get it fixed. Thank you!

If you use the RDF and open the party/group page it will sometimes show normal regardless of the mode chosen.

LOL. The cleverness of the insult is lost when it is fubbed like that.

@MJallday As Gina requested actual information helps. Otherwise, it is as though Stevie Wonder is the one providing the feedback.

As i already stated in other forum threads, current problems in dungeon finder:
    1. Always sets you to normal in the group pannel after you accepted queue for vet dungeon, tbh, it is not bad, just annoying.
    2. 4 man groups in primetime can still sometimes fail to group.
    3. N2 affects single queue as well, cant count the times when i queue as tank, no pop for 5 minutes, restart queue, not even a second. Dont believe it is coincidence.

Sorry if my first comment felt insulting Gina.

Here is a thread about this problem from almost over a month and a half ago.

Is the backing band for Stevie Wonder also blind? I hadn't heard about that. Makes the music even more impressive.

When you queue into a dungeon, it sets it to normal, even if you queue for vet. This is a "mostly" visual error that can be seen on the party screen. You are in fact in a veteran instance.

However, if you want to go into any dungeon after this, you will need to queue into it as you are considered set as normal for purposes of any future dungeons that group were to manually port into.

There are workarounds such as disbanding and reforming or leaving the instance, but it can be an annoyance if you want to hit a second dungeon after the first and don't want to use the queue for whatever reason. You can't port directly from a dungeon finder veteran instance into another veteran dungeon. It will set it to normal.

I don't worry about it. Press M for Map and you will see what the dungeon mode is.

2020 is the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, most famous deaf musician ever! I bet he would have been great at ESO. If he could keep up with those metronome markings he left on his manuscripts, he would be awesome at light attack weaving.

They aren't, but they can't spell his last name correctly for some weird reason....

Exactly as redspecter23 describes it. Encountered it a few times.

Also, the group finder queue often does not work on the first try. You queue with a complete (!) party for a vet dungeon, but you will not get a prompt and the queue keeps on ticking. But you are somehow set to normal, even though the party windows shows that party has been set to vet. So if you leave queue and port into a dungeon directly, the dungeon will be normal. It will still show the party set to vet for some players (but not all). If you leave queue and queue again for vet, then you will get a vet dungeon.

Also if the "infinite queue with full party" bug occurs, it is often impossible to leave the queue. It takes multiple tries, sometimes it takes over a minute to register it and let you leave the queue.

If you are lead and have your group set to veteran, and que for a random normal or a specific normal mode dungeon, for example, it will show the group as veteran.

That may be, but word on the street is that his band isn't good at testing video game patches.

I understand your cattiness as the OP was vague and the title was blah but to project this when your game is far from working optimally, and hasn't worked optimally for a while now, even with a completely fresh install and no fix in sight due to bugs with the fixes you are trying to implement maybe just take the first sentence out and ask to provide more information. The frustration lying on your side of the table here makes no sense really considering your teams are the ones that are causing the root issues with the game itself, not the player base.

Just chiming in on the side of ZoS here: it would help enormously in future if you could specify
    • which megaserver/platform you are on when you see this? (Is it specific to PC or consoles?)
    • which dungeons you are in when you see this? (Is it specific to certain dungeons?)
    • what your lowest group member level is (just to rule out the obvious about not being eligible to do the dungeon in vet mode)

I've been seeing this bug for at least a couple of months

    PC/NA

    All vet dungeons

    In max CP groups

The group page shows the dungeon set to normal even though you qued for vet and are in a vet instance

Well, you want to be snarky, but this issue has been previously reported in ESO's own Dungeon Finder feedback thread during the (finally doable) Undaunted Event in January.

Post 40 is the first I saw:
    * https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6532894/#Comment_6532894

This has been noted previously; I've seen it multiple times. I've seen the queue get stuck at ready check; I hit ready; someone sits there for however long; it doesn't decline or requeue you. You are constantly stuck in the ready check. Only way out is to log off; or just wait it out, because sometimes it gives you another ready check. Sometimes it just ports you.

Apologies @ZOS_GinaBruno my frustration kicked in

I think others have described it well but the upshot is that even if you go in a vet dungeon then the display is “normal”
Essentially it is a display issue

Seen this many times, not an major issue but still annoying.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
