Like accelerating drain is an incredible channel ability, one of the few channel abilities in the game, and a stun alternative to destructive clench... Then mist form, like every magicka player without a dash ability relies on this. I'd really hate to lose access to these abilities with the coming revamp... I'm hoping that the vampire skill line will retain this abilities and have a vampire ultimate; however, the vampire ultimate would have a separate skill tree of abilities only active during your ultimate. Following this, non-werewolf transformation skills and passives could be added to the game. I think this would be the BEST route. Please do not take away the current abilities...
When Rich was talking about the rework on the Bethesda_DE's stream he explained that they are "adding three new skills and an ultimate". It's not clear if they are going to make changes to Mistform or Drain at all, possibly functionality changes regarding the stun for example, but the skills will stay.
One thing they talked about was making it so feeding increases your vamp level instead of decreasing it.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not looking forward to that part. I’m lazy and like that I don’t have to micromanage my vamp level and just leave it at 4 without doing anything.

The vampire rework is going to COMPLETELY re-work the entire line. We know that they will still have a life drain and mist-based ability, but the current ones will most likely be getting a rework, but keeping the same thematic. For example, mist form will probably become the mist-dash we saw in the trailer.
Which is way better than current mist form as mist form is supposed to be fast and give you the option to avoid dmg/attacks.
So it'll more or less do the same thing, just in a more updated and nice looking way.
Don't let anyone tell you these abilities are staying exactly the same, no official word aside from what I've mentioned has been given. We know the new vamp will have a life drain and mist skill, but considering they're updating every aspect of the skill line, it makes literally 0 sense for these abilities to remain the exact same.

You have not mentioned any official word though and the official stuff we got does not say these abilities are getting completely changed. They would have said so if they were planning on it. They might roll some morphs into one and or make a new effect on one of the morphs but if they would change the mechanics of these skills, like turning mistform into a dash rather than a speed and protection buff, then they would have mentioned that.
They would have had a good reason to mention that along with the things they said about the Blood Scion and feeding animations as it is something familiar to us that doesn't spoil the surprise of what else they would have in store.
You still claim all of your hopes for what the revamp is like have been confirmed by someone not saying something. If someone is not saying something, you shouldn't interpret that as something that is definitely going to happen. Even if it doesn't make sense to you. When was the last time ZOS did something that didn't make sense?
You are just setting yourself up for disappointment by looking at the trailer and thinking they are foreshadowing gameplay but we didn't get onehand+spell in Summerset like in the trailer or after either.
Not saying they're going to get completely changed, they're going to still be a life-drain and "mist" skill. There has been no word that they will or will not be changed in such a way as you mentioned. The exact same reasoning you use for why they won't be changed can be said for why they would. IF they were going to remain they same, would they not of mentioned that?
And as for "If someone is not saying something, you shouldn't interpret that as something that is definitely going to happen" can literally be turned around and said to you lol. They haven't said they aren't reworking the abilities a bit and they haven't said that they're staying the same, that's the facts.
You know no more than I and I know no more than you. But it makes sense in a complete class rework to at least touch up on the abilities, right? And they had PLENTY of chances to say they're staying the same, too. When they mentioned that a life drain and mist ability will still be part of the kit, they could of easily added on that they wouldn't be making changes to them or that if they are, they would be minimal.
Sorry to say.

Ahh yes... drinking one Double Bloody Mara every 2 hours is just so very micromanage heavy.
On topic: Pretty sure it will get reworked to be brought more in line with Werewolf and less of a free-for-all take-all-my-passives where no one actually gives a crap about the skills. I look forward to it because I've been pretty tired of "Vampire is good because it just hands you free stuff."

IF it didnt do away with the current abilities it wouldnt be much of a revamp would it?
