Fighters guild magicka.

Hey.

Just wanted to note, that there should be magicka morphs for at least some skills too. Skills like ring of protection should be magicka abilities by narure and maybe just have a stamina morph sided with magicka morph.

Spells arte spells. They use magicka, not stamina. Not everything has to have stamina or magicka morph and stamina on spells should always be a morph, not a default.

If you swin a sword or do some other physical stuff, Stamina is what there needs to be used, but when you cast a spell, it usually needs some more knownledge than basic to turn them to draw from physicak streth

I guess the reason why we are on this point, is MMO/Meta stuff, but that should not define hpw things work. Naturally people DO find sense in the current way spells are, bvecause they like to swing a large, long sword to the puny enemy while casting powerful spells at the same time. It feels gfood to be able to do that. Next we propably get some stamina morphs for staves too. Just because players think there should be. To heck with sense, i want my stuff. Why not then have magicka abilities on weapon skill too hmm? YTou swing an 2 handed large axe, you get a magickal ward.. Wait what? You get a ward by swinging an axe. Clearly we need magicka here?

What i really want to say i guess, is to lock abilities completely behind some resource that makes no sense on how the ability feels is wrong. Spell is a spell which uses magicka. Physical stuff is physical stuff which needs stamina.

    By your logic everything in the game outside of weapon skills should be magicka bases as they are pretty much spells. We pretty much had that at launch and it was a poor design.

    That was something I really enjoyed at launch though... the real distinction between spells and weapon skills. Unfortunately they didn't decouple damage from that. More stamina/magicka should let you use your abilities more often, not increase their strength.

    That being said... for most Fighters Guild abilities it wouldn't make sense, except for circle of protection. Maybe a better solution would be a fitting replacement for CoP?

    No. Spells should be magicka by default and have a stamina morph as an advanced spellcaster option. By default, physical stuff like weapons should use stamina and spells that are clearly spells shpould use magicka by default. After the initial learning period, the user could learn to draw from streth instead of magicka. This naturally would work on most spells too like sorcerer abilties and stuff like that. Templar is mots ptopably the way i see things should be. The spells use magicka, but when you learn ypur stuff, you can also learn to draw from stamina instead of magicka.

    Stuff should have options for both resorces to allow players build the class they want, to heck with meta. Players should also learn to divide between health/Stamina/Magicka instead of focusing on one. The game workjed perfectly on the launch like that IF you divided ypur resources properly though it greatly lacked stamina stuff exept weapons which lacked magicka stuff. I
