I don't have the best eyes so I can't see the difference so I was wondering if someone would help me.


I have a Nord that I plan to adjust in the sense looks. I would like to make his hair black that it will match closest a berserk werewolf. I know the last two colors on the right of the bar are black but I cannot see in detail enough to see which is closer to the Wolf's fur.

Since you are the one looking at it everytime you play, it really is up to you which you think is closer.

In my experience, really black blacks look like a smudge in the game for hair and armor. So, one step down would probably be preferable. It will still look black, but will have texture and better lighting effects.

So, choose the second from the last.

Eh, the colors are.... gimped. Really what I do is think about what jewelry I want a given toon to use - silver, gold, copper (that's about it in chargen). And I also have to think about what costume.... If the Khajiit Chief, then I have to make sure hair color means gold....

GOOD LORD - ZOS. Why on Nirn are you making us select colors for hair that micromanage adornments? Sheesh. Y'all haven't an earthly.

At least in my opinion, since I wanted to have my main who is a Nord have black hair like every other first Elder scrolls character I had ever made, there was no option in the Nords hair colour selection that I considered black only dark browns if that, it annoys me since I had seen the kind of black I had wanted to use for the hair colour on other races.

I ended up going with dark grey and making the character look like an old grizzled veteran.

There is no reason why hair colours should be locked based on race one of the stupidest decisions in this games character creators design.

It's the Alexander Pushkin's (Russian canonical poet) hairstyle. Wolverine is just an imitator and not up to much of poet .

Its entirely up to you which colour you feel looks and fits best. The colours look slightly different to everyone due to their display screen settings and hardware. If you have ever sat in a room with friends playing ESO together, you can see this in quite stark fashion, the difference can be quite pronounced.

So, just choose what YOU like. Sometimes it wont be the same colours you pick to get the best match, since another factor is that different set pieces colour differently sometimes.
