Just want to change ONE skill

...but oh no. I have to spend a lot of gold to do it. Wow. That is so very, very wrong. NOT cool. A tiny bit of gold to change ONE morph or a lot of gold to change EVERY skill? ...ugh...

I mean changing morphs isnt too expensive. If you need to switch more often, reset all morphed skills you dont need and the reset cost will decrease dramatically

Yup people asked and asked for the ability to change one skill.

    What does ZoS do?

Lets you change one skill but STILL charges you the full amount every time you do it

yeah it seems like such an easy to do and small quality of life improvement that youd think is standard...

But honestly there are so many things that are standard in most mmos that zos seems to be overwhelmed to implement

like search and sort functions for banks and chests or a fully customizable and scaleable ui

or making the game run in an acceptable manner...

Honestly i just think that bethesda is simply bad at making games and programming...if you look at their track record - they have great ideas but they just seem to be bad at their craft...

Changing skills, morphs, attributes etc should be free. But you should only be able to do them at specific places (as now).

Charging players for this is just rude and stupid and discourages players from experimenting.

And the players it penalises most are those newer players, who might be poor. It discourages them from trying out different morphs or combinations.

Respec definitely should have price to pay or people would think of their choices even less despite current prices being laughably low even with all skill points unlocked and spent. Right now it's literally 4 days of writs on one character for most lazy ones. Not counting materials sold from them, probably one day then.

Its only 1500 gold or something to change morphs, there are hardly any gold sinks in this game so I dont have a problem with the price tbh.

It has to have a price and it's laughably low already.

    I thought this was fixed?
    Wasn’t this fixed?

I really should pay attention to how much I’m spending on stuff

I thought it was per point cost now? Yes? No?

You're charged per point you have, not per point you changed. So if you have 100 points total invested, but you only change one skill, you're charged 5000g (100 x 50g) to make the change.

The difference is that now a respec doesn't blanket reset all of your skills. You can tinker as you like before you confirm your changes (and are charged the money).

I never have understood the cost aspect. Not only for skills, but for outfit style changes, or even champion points for that matter. Even wayshrine charges seem unnecessary. Were any of these aspects connected to PvP and were able to be changed on the fly, then yes I could see discouraging it via cost. But one is purely cosmetic and has no bearing on combat, and the others are simply convenience issues that seem to drag things out.
