Pointing Out the Obvious

Generally speaking, I am very loath to point out obvious things. However, this obvious point bears bringing up. Why is there any kind of delay (as in "working on it") in fixing the crashes now being experienced every 2 minutes in cyro? Perhaps it is a complicated issue, but one must wonder. I've seen ZOS fix some things THE DAY THE PROBLEM IS IDENTIFIED or at least the next day. You can be 100% assured that the complicated method of collecting money from the customers is out of the gate perfected. How can this be as this is not your field of expertise? Yet, keeping us in game and everything working correctly is put off for an entire week? This problem is going to be a week old before an attempt is even made.

Regardless of the reasons ZOS might give, you guys must understand what it looks like from the point of view of the player. For these things to be repeatedly delated in the fixing, the result is still the same each time. We come in to enjoy your game. We come in the game to enjoy our friends' company in guild. We can't do either of those things when the coding is so far gone that we can't play for more than 2 minutes at a time.

Whatever your reasons for the delay, I'm being totally honest with you when I say that we should not have had to wait until MONDAY to see something repaired. That should have been done THE DAY OF the problem identification or at the very least the next day. Your own policy to use the canned response that you are merely aware of the problem and are "working on it" is an insufficient response when people spend money supporting your game and your jobs. How did this issue not get detected when you tested the patch before you released it on the rest of us? Secondly, if you released it WITH the problem anyway even after testing it, would that not constitute a real problem with culture at ZOS?

The corrective patch SHOULD have been released as soon as you completed it and tested it to see that it worked. Making us wait for an entire week is completely unacceptable. This is a problem that I would think you would make a much higher priority seeing as entire swaths of your player populations doesn't even want to play your game until the problem is fixed.

Yup, I'd rather they take down the server for an hour or two on a Friday instead of waiting until Monday or Tuesday so that we can play during the weekend without crashing every five minutes

I agree, there should always be a contingency or back up group right after the newest patch goes live in case something goes wrong and fix it right away, we consumers are pretty fast on giving you feedback on bugs and crashes. I'm sure the second or third day you had lots of time to gather our information and come up with a hot fix already. At this point anything is an excuse , even if a meteorite hits earth.

Anywhere you go ....selling a product for money and taking that money without supplying a product is fraud- If this were the first time I would never say such a thing. But, then again...this isn't the first time is it ZOS?

I completely agree. My group of friends are, I assure you, trying to make the best of it. But I cannot for the life of me understand why ZOS is delaying this action. If there was any kind of patch already released this morning, which was indicated in another thread as well, then it failed.

The only dev who can fix it is on his 240th annual paid vacation for keeping the crown store running.

I totally agree! I'll sacrifice some of Friday play for a REAL fix! Come on ZOS Get your stuff together!
