Murkmire event

Hi guys,
Yesterday I laid waste in all murkmire. Kill everything from critters to WB for hours. Also tried and did some quest in between.
Not a single strongbox dropped. And I Can be ok with that.
But even NO TICKETS. Is the rng of this event so harsh that u can drop nothing after few hours of grinding?
Before yesterday after few mobs I had my tickets.

What am I missing here?

If you complete any of the 3 daily quests available in Mirkmire, you will drop tickets. You cant just do side quests, these dont count. Unless you progress the Mirkmire story, you will only have 2 daily quests, a world boss and a delve.

Tickets only drop once per 24 hours, per account (not per character).

    Hope this helps.

    Nope.

Tickets this event are totally unrelated to quests.

There's a random chance for them to drop upon killing any mob in the zone.

Personally I've reliably gotten my tickets every day, mostly from killing random open world mobs. Usually very quickly. A few times it has taken up to about 10 minutes.

    But I've always gotten them.

Im sure the Daily reset already occurred ( i have also an addon that keeps track of things events related as tickets and even it was saying I had 3 tickets still to drop).
If today will happen again ...oh well I wont do anything as usual :)

@holden_caulfield Be sure to loot EVERYTHING that you kill in Murkmire because tickets can drop from ANY killed creature. If you miss looting tickets, you WON'T get a second chance in the same day to get the skipped/missed tickets...

To be honest, I feel like they didn't word the RNG aspect of this correctly and made it the same as Elsweyr/Dragon Rise event -- boss means guaranteed ticket, normal mob means a chance. I've killed 1 Wamasu (solo-boss health bar) each day and always got my tickets from it. Doesn't feel chance-based at this point.

You are missing 2 key things

First, it’s no longer ZOS’s fault you didn’t get your tickets. They don’t need to investigate or reimburse you. They can #blametheplayernotthegame . You’re just unlucky

Second, tickets are available to buy from the Crown Store. So splash the cash suckers.

That’s the new Event mentality. It stinks.

If I was developing the game I’d be feeling a bit humiliated by all this. It’s treating players really badly and leaves a very sour taste.

But hey the Marketing Team have another 25 Indriks and exploitative systems queued up and ready to go. They are right jazzed up for it.

The ticket drops do seem to vary as far as how soon they drop.

My main on the NA server has been able to get tickets within the first 3 to 5 minutes of killing mobs after the daily reset.

But my main on the EU server has generally taken twice as long each day before the tickets drop, and for the last two nights I've had to run around killing mobs for nearly 20 minutes before the tickets dropped.

It's actually kind of funny to me, because during other events my main on the EU server has had better luck with RNG than my main on the NA server has as far as whether other event rewards (such as style pages) have dropped.

RNG is definitely a fickle beast.

Wamasu are an endangered specie after my day in murkmire yesterday.
As I said I killed everything many times. Critters included.

I've killed random mobs every day on multiple accounts and they'll drop from anything and everything.

And no they're definitely not a guaranteed drop from boss mobs.

I've killed bosses and done enough damage to get loot from them and not gotten tickets + strongbox. Then gotten them from something else.

Ticket drops are as ZO advertised. Random. Though most often I get them from whatever I kill first.

My experience so far with this event is that the three event tickets, and first strong box drop when I loot, or harvest almost anything, as long as twenty-four hours have passed since the last occurrence.

Additional strong boxes have dropped for me at a rate of one, or two per three hours of looting, and harvesting everything I come across.

Im amazed people are having such bad rng.

Are you keeping track of the reset time? I have gone out with one character on reset before writs and have gotten my daily tickets/box often on the first mob. Once it took me like 2 minutes and most of that time was trying to actually find mobs :/

I guess they're common enough for me to have gotten lucky then. Still weird.

This, tickets and first box can drop from any kill but its much more likely on bosses, note that this also includes the 120 K health overland mobs and quest bosses.
If doing quests or delves I always get them before 30 something kills.
The problem is that if you miss any loot it can contain the tickets.
This is pretty easy if you are in an group and spread out a bit, but also doable solo if not careful.

As for getting more boxes, I have not gotten any

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

This implementation for tickets is severely flawed. One can expect the zone to be crowded with players farming enemies for drops during an event, if you run into someone doing a large pull or pulling enemies as they run past you while you are fighting, enemies can get tagged and killed elsewhere. Then you would have lost tickets through no fault of your own.

You may not even know it and waste hours farming to no avail. The way tickets are implemented, the drop environment is not something the programmers or the players are in control of. Players then suffer because ZOS failed to implement a working system, and players get blamed for their bad luck by ZOS support when they submit a ticket.

I realize nothing can be changed for this event now. But overall, the Murkmire event has been incredibly frustrating and dissapointing. The drop rate for extra boxes is so low it's practically nonexistent. I've cleared nearly the entire zone with the exception of the repeatable quest achievements, and gotten only one extra box. It's like you're trying to discourage us from playing the zone. With such a low drop rate what is even the point of promoting them as a possible reward?

I really try to give ZOS the benefit of the doubt when it comes to crown store items (game development and maintanence costs money that can't be covered just by people buying the game), but this has even me thinking the decisions regarding how tickets and boxes drop, the memento drop rate, the timing of the event, and everything else is a way to manipulate people into buying tickets with crowns. Even if it's not, it feels that way and it doesn't feel good.

I'm not sure who is in charge of designing events, so I'm tagging @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_SarahHecker @ZOS_JessicaFolsom instead

Can we please get some sort of acknowledgement that our feedback has been heard and has been given to the relevant parties? It just makes it even more frustrating that even with all the posts on the forums and social media about dissapointment and issues with the event that there has been no acknowledgement from ZOS. It kindof feels like we're just shouting into the air

I just run around looking for the bigger monsters - like the ankylosaurus types, and I have been hitting the tickets/strongbox. They don't always drop loot though.

first day since event has started and i killed ALL kind of mobs in Murkmire, did quests, killed bosses and get NO tickets at all. And i dont even considered buying a ticket, i won't just do any event any more, coz obviously its going into buy-to-have-event-crappy-stuff way than have some fun from doing event.

Really. I killed every mob in murkmire. For hours.
I even received a letter by WWF asking me to stop destroying the whole local fauna.

    No strongbox
    No ticket
