Will you redownload or uninstall/install the game with Update 25?

I am asking to myself 'When Update 25 came out, Should I follow the instructions for redownload the game or manually uninstall the game then freshly install?' My opinion is manully uninstall then install the game will be more 'clean' but I wonder your ideas. Is there any pros/cons?

I'm going to uninstall and do a fresh reinstall, but only because I also want to move it to a new drive.

If I was leaving it in the same location I'd just use the launcher to update it and assume it would remove all the unnecessary files in the process. (Which is what ZOS said to do.) If I was just moving it to a new location I'd probably try just copying the files from C: to B: and only re-download if that didn't work.

But since I got my new drive just before the big update I think it makes sense to go ahead and uninstall completely then reinstall to the new location.

im gonna let the launcher do it for the simple fact that the patched version of the game could somehow get borked or not uploaded on the site and then i have to download it twice anyway.

So, update it is.

If you ant the game to be installed in a different location or drive than it is now, do a full uninstall before downloading it. Otherwise just let the launcher do its thing.

I reinstalled last week. Took 6 hours. With everyone downloading at same time I guess it could be a much longer process

I'll probably uninstall then reinstall, but not for any technical reason - when I installed ESO, it was one of the first games on my new machine, and...I forgot to select a drive, so it installed on my boot drive, which I didn't want - but...it was done before I figured out where it was installing, and...whatever. So, since I HAVE to re-load the whole thing anyway, I'll probably use this as an excuse to put it on the drive it was always supposed to be on in the first place

Re-downloading via the launcher. It worked fine for PTS so ofc I'm hoping it'll go the same tomorrow

The launcher worked well for the PTS so it should do as well on the Live server.

I'm mildly surprised by how many people are reinstalling because they're moving ESO to another drive, I'd just assumed I'd be the only one doing that for some reason.

I'm uninstalling the game completely. Coming from an IT guy, trust me, when a footprint of a program changes this much. It's best to start fresh.

I'm gonna take the opportunity to move to a new Steam installation, and so I will install the new client from there. It's the best chance I have to do this.

As for why? So I'm able to buy ESO+ and the new expansion with my local currency, through Steam... which has way better prices than I'd get charged for the overpriced currency conversion that my int. credit card does.

This is not that big of a footprint change. ESO is large in size, but only has around 300 files. That isn't going to change much. Actually, PTS has more files than Live, it is just that a lot of them are smaller.
