Yesterday I played about 5 hours in Murkmire, doing dailies, quests, killing mobs ... NO second box.
Hence, from today onwards, I will be spending 10 minutes tops in Murkmire daily to get my single box and the 3 tickets.

Had the same experience. Didn't receive a fragment in my daily box so I tried grinding for a second one. But after hours of grinding with no drop I came to the same conclusion. It's just not worth doing it for the extra boxes.

I received one strongbox yesterday not knowing you can get more (ha) I was on-line for 3 to 4 hours, killed both world bosses, completed two delves and the rest of the time I was collecting resources from nodes, killing a few mobs in between all that.....oh well

The drop rate is so low that it's not worth the time or effort. The only way it's worth your time is if you have a character that you need to level up anyway.

I turned up 5 minutes before reset. Killed one mob and got my first box and tickets. Waited till reset. Killed mobs for about 2 minutes and got my second. Went back to pvp.

Trick is to just LTP.

Got my tickets after a few trash kills but never got a box, never mind a 2nd one! Just as well there's likely nothing in them that I want or need.

Got enough tickets for what I did want, now sitting out the rest of the event and ignoring it. ZOS is RNG-obsessed, honestly.

Murkmire is my least favorite zone. I'm glad I can get in, spend 5m killing mobs, and get my 1 box and 3 tickets. A second box can suck it. Totally not worth the effort when I could be doing literally anything else in game. Shoot, logging off and watching TV is better time spent then looking for a second box.

During the event, I only visit Murkmire to do the 2 dailies and take the 1st strongbox/tickets from WB. After that, I leave zone.

ZOS policy is to have us grinding 24/7 to get a silly pet and memento with a drop rate of 1% for a 2nd strongbox. Sorry, but I am not wasting my time.

It seems that way, yes. Unless you are prepared to start spending rl cash to buy tickets that is (which I suspect is the entire motivation behind this non-event).

I received a second strongbox today (from a random Kotu Gava Broodmother) about one hour after getting the first one that came with the tickets (dropped by the third random overland mob). Two more hours of grinding did not result in yet another box, however, so I returned to hunting Scuttlebloom instead.
OTOH I hadn't farmed for the second box at all had the first one contained a fragment, so...

So today I killed a random mob and got 3 tickets and a strongbox with a pet fragment. 5 minutes later a random mob dropped another strongbox with trash in it. 2 hours later and no more strongboxes. So very frustrating.

I know a guy that has 5 boxes already. I got the baseline 2. We were farming together for about 4 hours in total.

i got one additonal strongbox last night around 12 PM EST... 14 hours give or take.. and you know what? Trash. No fragments what so ever.

I'm 0 for 2 so far.
