I love my main. The details were obsessed over before creation: class, race, appearance, etc. but also the direction I wanted to take. Several happy coincidences have crafted a wonderful story for him, and I have no regrets about any of the several thousand hours he has seen

I would love to see them unify achievements, so that they are account wide rather than per characters, they already do this with a lot of the achievement awards. Of course I still play my main 5+ years after creating her in beta. So aside from PVP, everything is pretty much done on her, I do PVP on a different character.

Not a bit. My main has been my main since I started 5 years ago.

In fact, I’ve gone through periods where I’ve deleted most of my alts — max CP alts with fully trained mounts. Mainly because most of my alts just end up being copies of my main that only get logged in to do daily writs or grind events that have per-character rewards.

my main is a character not played so much through content anymore, but has all the motifs and crafting stuff and skill lines.

I still like to quest and stuff on him, but it’s a daunting task. I want to try every class.

Kind of lose continuity. The game really kills any desire to be a completionist in how every new character re starts their over all progress.

I’ve known plenty of people that only play one character. I gave up on that a long time ago.

Never been in love with this game. I have just enjoyed it. Lately, I've enjoyed it a lot less. Now I mainly feel contempt and disappointment towards the people making the decisions regarding this game.

Love my main (Khajiit stamblade). He does all new content through first & is my grand master crafter & furnisher.

But I have 16 other characters that I play - some more than others tbh - but means I don’t get bored or run out of things to do.

At the moment my focus is on my argonian magplar healer for trials, a Breton sorc going through the MQ, and a Altmer magplar dd and a Khajiit stamden that I pvp on.

But that will change - taking magblade to Murkmire during the event 🙂

Dra’Cari is my main. She’s is a kitty nightblade and the one I had my first years with. She was there when my life was in chaos, always a companion I could turn to when I needed to be somewhere else.

But she has all maps cleared and I’m not buying Elsweyr or Greymore before they fix their ....

I’m as in love with her as I was the first dolmen, the first stranger that joined in, the first pvp kill. It’s something entirely else, that keeps us apart

My main Ras Kalik, a Templar is for all story content as well as a master crafter. He can do PvE and PvP content, has more than enough skillpoints to be a jack-of-all-trades. Then I have alternates for other roles - PvP or PvE specific, they have just enough skill points to fit their build.

I play different toons because I know ZOS makes changes every 4 months and I enjoy exploring new builds and combos. I learned not to fall in love with one and see the glass half full.

my main is certainly the character i've played the most and done the most content on, he has most of the achivements, etc

i don't really stress out too much over it though. i've got like 12 characters now and basically when i play after doing my crafting writs i hop on whichever one i'm in the mood for

I have the same main that I have had since Beta. I have 17 characters though...I like alts for fun. Lots of roleplay characters and different classes for battleground matches.

I've never fallen out of love with my main. I've never fully gotten into my alts, however, as they are repeating things I've already done and so don't feel "real."

Yep I feel ya! For awhile my main was sorc, got sick of always being in lightning form. Then warden, got sick of always being covered in ice and also the "hologram" look of all the summoned creatures. Now a templar. Puncturing sweeps is crazy good I feel like a one-button-scrub playing on easy mode.

I need help. I will admit that I'm a delete-aholic. If ZOS announced tomorrow that every account could only have 1 character, i'd be perfectly happy with just my main.

Someone please convince me not to delete the bottom feeders:

Main: Dunmer stamblade - Trials, dungeons, vMA, master crafter, 9-trait, fully leveled mount, quests, set farming, soloing.

Crafter/farmer: Nord stamblade - speed build. Master crafter, 9-trait, fully leveled mount. Crafting and resource farming.

PVP: Dunmer stamblade - standard Alcast non-gank stamblade build. PVP only but I don't PVP often

Sneak thief: Dunmer stamblade - speedy stealth build. 6-trait. 60/60/5 mount. Does DB and TG dailies when I'm bored with trails and dungeons.

Outlier 1: Dunmer magblade - 60/45/0 mount. Only used for writs or times when I need undaunted keys or transmutes and my main has done the dailies. ON THE BLOCK

Outlier 2: Dunmer stamblade - carbon copy of my main. 7-trait. Fully leveled mount. Only used for daily writs. ON THE BLOCK

Outlier 3: Dunmer stamblade - bow/bow fun build. no crafting. 45/0/0 mount. daily writs only. ON THE BLOCK

I'm getting the itch to delete Outlier 2, since he's a copy of my main but MAN its tough to delete a fully leveled mount. I'm thinking of gearing him and skilling him specifically for vma so that I don't have to swap skills and gear on my main every time I run it.

YEP. For a long time I said I'd stick with my Bosmer stamblade no matter what. It hit a point, however, where it was no longer even remotely fun to play. She's now a crafter/thief who will sometimes do surveys. The sad thing is that when I take her out to do surveys, she feels so broken because she now struggles with overland mobs. As you mentioned, she feels like a shadow (or not, since they ruined that for Bosmer too, hurr hurr) of her former self.

I switched to a magden main about 8 months ago, back when the class was considered the weakest DD, so it's not like when I first started the game and chose the stamblade class, which at the time was in its PvE heyday, though I didn't know it. I started when it was at its best and stayed for as long as I could, but the fun has been sucked out of it. Anyway, I'm hoping that I've seen magden at its weakest; I figure if I enjoyed it then, I can enjoy it for a very long time. However, it's not a "ride or die" thing; if ZOS takes away the things I find fun about the class, I don't have it in me to carry on with a hollowed-out class for the sake of sticking with it.

I guess the character archetype that I create for each class remains the same, though- tiny little fierce bada* females. I could say that each one is an alternate version of the same character...?

I have 12 chars I created for specific content, and a main - my oldest character, my crafter and achievement hunter. I never fell out of love with him even if he wasn't always the first one to do new content.

My main is a stamblade. I love her. The combat team not so much. She went from being amazing to people asking if I am...On A... Stamblade...with expectant pause in which I do NOT offer to swap for another toon. *shrug*

She's my main for reasons that transcend this one game.

There are times when I am unhappy about my main, I feel it's somewhat lacking. I create a new character, and as soon as I land, I am having this deep throwback to my main.

And yeah, Stam DK Redguard is the only character I am able to play, even after going through some serious doubt periods and desire to switch to other character.

I'm playing since 2016 and I have nothing complete. I did Cadwells gold with a friend, but it was a mad two week rush. I was fighting with the Dark Brotherhood with a fresh toon, a Khajiit. I can't complete the final boss. Abandoned both, Dark Brotherhood and Khajiit. Will do again. I did Morrowind - main quest done, some side quests left. I felt that I rushed. Abandoned. Will do again. I did Murkimer. Rushed again. Need to redo... New character, again, to do all the stories with her.
