An idea to make the crime system a bit more interesting, not a major change.

Guards should be able to summon more guards until you either get away or die. I see people surviving way too long vs guards, IMO you should be afraid of dying to guards, and if you stay close by too long should be overwhelmed by an army of them. thats the only constructive change I can think of for the justice system atm.

I have had guards gang up me before, but it was a bigger city. Once in Skywatch I was doing some petty larceny for an event. I knew I had a bunch of SWAG that I had stolen, but decided against fencing first. As i had done this job on other characters with no issues. Well...

I think i had 6 Guards kited at one point in my desperate journey to a Wall to jump off of. So I jumped, not realizing they had sucked down my health. Died on the ground and lost my SWAG. Grrrr.....

It was fun though.

Not sure if the action has to happen in their patrol area or not for them to engage.

@zvavi I think you should be able to kill the guards too. Of course, not easily - however it doesn't make sense to me why you CAN'T kill them.

But, like the video shows there only needs to be one guard you choose to fight and you will not succeed. I have noticed this also, they just pull this one shot ability that removes whatever health you have remaining at the time it hits you.

Sometimes it is called other things than riot control, but it always happens if you fight a guard and they can't put you down. BOOM - dead.

The way it works now the "justice system" is kinda cheesy. You just have to move away from the guard and they give up. You can't really be an outlaw, or rather it doesn't mean much to be one. All it amounts to is you get harassed to pay your bounty.

Nobody comes looking for you, nobody locks you up, nobody cares to chase you very far, no bounty hunters try to take you out...

If you could kill the guards, then all this would be possible. Guards or groups of some enforcement agency could pursue you and try to bring justice to you. If you defeat them, or slip away from them it results in worse and more skilled agent(s) coming for you.

@dazee So I guess what I'm saying is the idea of more and more guards coming to beat you down would be kinda cool, but only if you can put up a fight and have some chance of winning. Like grand theft auto style, or even how skyrim was that way.
