I was helping some friends in below 50 get use to pvp, when I was very surprised seeing multiple monsters helms proc from 810cp toons

Wasn’t sure if this was intended for below 50 or not. Unless a friend is under 160 cp and cannot play in the campaigns I usually enjoy I am not there....

I think its possible for players to teleport in veteran dungeons before they hit level 50 and you can get undaunted as well by first leveling a character and get the undaunted enclave invitation and giving it to your other low level character.

The usual way this happens is that someone reaches level 50 while in the campaign, goes back to the gate, gets out their vet gear, and continues. Once they leave the campaign they can't return. I don't think it's particularly within the spirit of U50 pvp but it's been like that for a long time.

You can get monster helms before level 50. The main method would be to buy the helm/shoulder from the Golden Vendor on a lower level toon or buy the shoulder from the Undaunted for keys.

Now, I sort of question why someone would do that for below 50 PVP, but then I confess I've never been that competitive.

That should also work but its more likely some reached level 50 and switched to vet gear.

Helms only are sold at max level, aren't they? Pretty sure. 45 is the level for Vet, no?

It was vet gear. It didn’t help them but yeap, bad puppies.


I just felt bad for my friends that were all excited...Looking forward to introducing them into the fun of ESO PvP but everyone is low-key so np’

Is it possible to walk into a Vet dungeon below 50? If it is, I can see people getting a group together to complete up to the last boss, then switch to their lowbie to get the helm. Something like Selene's or Storm Fist would be super easy with a lowbie in the group.

Non-DLC Vet dungeons can be queued for starting at level 45 now right? Realistically though, you could skip the group finder and just enter as a group of 4 and do any dungeon. If you have 810 cp on your account and your character is level 45+ with halfway decent gear and lots of dungeon experience already, you could do it pretty easily I imagine. You might even be able to enter and get a helm lower than level 45 by skipping the group finder but I've never tried that.

But as Varanis said, why do all that for lowbie pvp?

Groups farm dungeon sets. I knew a player that farmed automaton for u50. Took them 4 months to get set lvl 15-45.

Also knew a grp that farmed asylum weapons and I saw in zone chat several weeks back a player lamenting their bad luck with RNG when trying to get fury pcs for u50.

Undaunted invitation is sent out at level 45 so theoretically that's the earliest you are intended to be able to get a Monster Set.

You can join Undaunted and start the skill line on level 3. (Just tried it. Appears I walk in but can not set dungeon level to other than normal. No idea if a lv3 can join a group and port to veteran mode dungeon.)
Edit: Appears I can't see pledge givers at low level.

Its been a while since I checked that on a lower level toon.

If you buy a helm from golden on a lowbie char you still get a cp 160 helm.

Because they’re lame and don’t like getting rekted in a proper campaign, lol.

ZoS, should probably take a look into this. They won’t but they should. Seeing this, I felt really badly for people actually new to PvP.

Meh, ZoS got all bent over a certain mages skill but this, lmfao makes that a joke. It’s all gucci in the long run of issues in the game.

For now on I will just power level friends new to the game to 160cp asap. Thankfully no one got heated and are all low-key. Only a lizard got toasted and bagged.
