To ZOS devs: Cyrodiil continues to impress.

Rory_FightingToFifty
ESO is my favorite video game ever. I have spent god-knows how many hours in Cyrodiil. It has provided endless enjoyment in those de-stress hours after work with a cocktail, or when I’m stuck on bed rest with a cold, or on late weekend nights when a little digital mayhem feels appropriate.

I’ve always been as much an explorer as a fighter. I know most every minor play set in the zone...the khajiit Pirate Bay, the werewolf encampment...the weird guy with a dead wife who’s having a tea party with corpses. I know the fight sets too...I know the best corner to hide in at Faregyl, and I know a certain platform at at a certain keep that will remain unnamed where range attacks get a range boost for no reason.

Today, traveling from Drake to Cropsford, I found a small detail I’ve never noticed before...a small shrine set into a hill. It’s nothing more than an inset stone tablet with a carved lion motif and some paving set around it. There are no NPCs or any clue as to what this shrine is, or how old it might be. It doesn’t have to be there, but at some point a designer decided to add some detail to an otherwise deserted area.

Cyrodiil continues to impress me all these years later...thank you for providing such an amazing play set for your players.

I sometimes decide to go exploring Cyrodiil away from all the fighting. Thing is the map has no polish, very scarce detail. TES:4 had a much better looking world map from the 3 single hours i played it.

Sometimes it’s those little moments like the ghost near Sej that make the game interesting

Or the necromancer’s party, and his wife sweeping their cottage.

I would love it if Cyrodiil had more PvE and bigger cities

    You misspelt "depress".

Misspelt carved also, you missed that.

Cyrodiil as a zone is great. Too bad the performance continues to be so poopy

The only thing AD zone chat can agree on is how bad the lag has been since the event :D:D:D

Your nerf suggestion is dumb. Learn to counter other players instead of having the game rebuilt to your ability level.

Sometimes I head off the main path between keeps too ... like the small settlement of Weye where Elaninwe is always out dutifully sweeping the grounds.
"May you walk on warm sands."
"First, I would ask that you look to the poor and the suffering around Cyrodiil. Look into their hearts, and then look into your own."
"May Auri-El's light guide you in your darkest hours."

I also want to recommend the beautiful painting ZOS mixed into the game every now and then (well, actually more like: always, with the exception of now and then). Seen it at least 15 minutes only today and still admiring it!

Those colours! That majesty! That beautiful white tower in the center that is as unreachable as ... well, the server maybe?

Between Drakelowe and Harlun's Outpost, on a hill near a river closer to Drakelowe... Like the jewelry writs, I'll give you some story too: If you visit this guy on a necromancer character, he has some different dialogue to give you!

I played all AD chars until recently, when my main became a Breton and I hadn't bothered to purchase any race/any alliance. I took her into Cyro for skyshards and general merriment and man, it's crazy how much nicer DC zone chat is in general. Maybe it's because she wasn't in Kaal (locked into that on AD), but it's so much more laid-back and no one is yelling in zone chat about how much everyone sucks.

If you go way East from Seajanus, there’s a lake. His house is to the south. You can see it as a little brown dot on the overland map.

Last time I was in Cyrodill I had no less than 10 load screens just travelling to the first fight. Forgive me if I don't find that impressive.

About the AD Xbox NA zone chat - it’s always the same 2-3 trolls from other alliances sucking up most of the oxygen in chat. Unless you’re counting someone on AD that constantly spams their guild!

Is the conspiracy theorist still blathering on? I blocked them, but I’m curious if they’re still on their crazypants crusade.
