Really Hoping Q4 dlc is Central Skyrim

I had hoped that the Skyrim DLC would be innovative and be a giant map including White Run, Winterhold and Solitude but looks like it’s just the very Western Part. I hope they make the Q4 dlc bigger in scope than they have in the past and I hope it’s Central Skyrim and large with lots of elevation.

It’s soft confirmed the reach. Western Skyrim year dunno when we will come back.

I thought I remembered them saying that this year’s content is focused on “Western Skyrim” and they didn’t want to stray too far east. It made me wonder if they wanted to keep their options open to do Central Skyrim/Winterhold zones at some point.

Edit: I meant the whole year, not just Greymoor.

Of course they will they said they want to do the entire continent eventually.

Of course they will they said they want to do the entire continent eventually.

But there are clearly some areas where there are gaps they won’t be filling in — like between Northern and Southern Elsweyr. So it would be possible that they don’t feel the need to fill in Whiterun or Winterhold if they think 2020 covers Western Skyrim and Eastern Skyrim is already represented by Eastmarch and the Rift. Winterhold is already a bit of an issue considering it seems to have migrated a bit.

Central Skyrim is too large of an map to handle in an DLC. DLC tend to be one city, two delve and world bosses and a trial or arena.
It can be part of central Skyrim the center will be an later chapter.

I reckon it will be next year. I refuse to believe that ESO won't cover Skyrim in the tenth anniversary.

Solitude and such... Sure they were cool but they were not the iconic locations that Whiterun was. Whiterun holds (Heh, puns!) a very special place in TES history now, as it's arguably the most iconic city in any TES game now. Certainly in popular culture...

I wouldn't count it out yet... Unless, and I hope this doesn't happen, they pull a Falkreath again.

I don’t know how they’re going to handle that. It would seem weird to do one without the other. Maybe a chapter in one place and the Q4 dlc in another? As long as the story connects it would still satisfy their new “year-long adventure” m.o.

the q4 dlc will be a mountain in skrim with a small town at the bottom and inability to climb the mountain. It will have one merchant , a store that sells only ice and come with a free inn house

White Run has been confirmed to not be coming this year.
That leaves only the Reach for forth Quarter as they are only doing western Skyrim.
Maybe next year or one of these years they will do Central Skyrim.
