It took about two years to go with my Stamblade. She is a lot of fun to play and experiment with. She is not a cookie cutter build.

I have about 1.200 hours in ESO, still no main. I'd love to be a healer, but I don't like templar and other classes are just garbage in compare to it. so, I just play the character which has more quests finished to pass them all and start achievements hunt (it's stam warden khajiit)

Rolled a Temp in beta/launch. Xferred that toon to both PS4 and Xbox and he’s almost at 30k achievements on all three platforms. Definitely my main.

I have two "mains", and there are my second (Sorc Altmer) and third character (Templar Breton). I'm still playing the beta one (another Sorc Altmer, so now in my head they're siblings), too, though.

On my second char I do story, crafting/motifs/receipes and MSA. On my third one I heal dungeons, trials and pvp (nonCP). I might get my first one up to do damage in dungeons and trials one day, but I'm not so keen and playing DD anyway.

I have 9 chars all in all, some just for thieving and werewolfing or vampireing. ;)

Sigh, my main is my first character I actually stuck with, a Bosmer stamblade (had made a DK before her, but scrapped her pretty quickly). I made her before I had any notions of ever doing dungeons or, *gasp* PVPing. And because I stuck with her the longest, she has the most achievements, so she continues to be my main, in everything. I’ve since found characters that I personally find easier to play or at least more fun to play. But I can’t abandon Herja, or send her to the crafters’ pasture, even if I have more success with other characters. And she isn’t too bad, and being a Bosmer, she’s mighty adorbs.

Had one ever since the launch. The only one that's been with me for so long, and seen so much. Learned all the crafts and many motifs, done many quests, got the most skyshards. Gone through deletion and ressurection magic by ZoS support, been a man, a woman; a breton, then a khajiit. Been a healer, a tank, a dd. Suffered through the very first vMA :)

I mostly play other characters in my usual activities (trials and dungeons), but this one will always hold a special place in my heart.

A sorceror wrapped in lightning, with the eyes aglow.. a thundering echo from the days of past, when this journey into Tamriel had just begun.

First character. Made a stamblade and it's been my favorite class ever since. Do have a secondary main for PvP that's also a stamblade, but for a different faction, that one took around 2 years before I started to play it heavily.

I had settled on MagBlade at first, after trying out both Mag Sorc and Stam DK. MagBlade was a lot of fun :p

But then Morrowind got released with the Warden class. It felt like the class was made for me and it's been my main ever since :)

(though there are times I'm debating between staying Mag or switching to Stam :D )

You and i have a lot in common @Tryxus The amount the Warden has been unnecessarily changed makes me sometimes wish i never bothered and stayed with my Magblade - But i did love the warden when it was released, just wish they did more with the ice mage archetype and gave us a darn CC :)

The only time I ever wished I had stayed with MagBlade was when I completed vMoL HM for the 1st time with my trial guild. The only achievement I was missing (and still am missing) for Dro-m'Athra Destroyer was the Fang Focused one, which I had on my MagBlade. D'oh xD

I do love my MagDen very much :) But sometimes when I complete a pledge or trial, or during PvP, I just can't escape the feeling that if I had done it on a StamDen, I would not only have offered the same things to the group as my MagDen but StamDen would have been a lot easier and more efficient on top of it as well. StamDen would have been the "right" way, so to speak

    Ah well :p

    After the release of Morrowind.

I discovered the combo of a Magicka DK clad inTinkerers + Defiler + Ilambris sets.

The joy I get when I bowl my little mechano-raptor, Clyde, through a herd of baddies and they bounce into the air, just in time for Hank the Happy Hungerer to vomit all over them (he gets motion sick) while a rain of fire (or lightning) cascades over everyone, is immeasurable.

I don't think I would have half as much fun with another combo. And I get to pretend to be a pet class without actually needing to slot pets.
PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.
    Eve Morrison - Templar DPS - Furniture Crafter/Maker of Arms - Co-op w/hubby/achievements/crafting
Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist
    Siluna Southpaw - StamDK DPS slippery-fingered type/Murder hobo - RP/Solo/Storyline

Over three years, but only due to the fact that there weren't Wardens at launch and I left for three years.

The character I created at launch to be my crafter ended up being my main.
Probably because I had to chase skill points for crafting, she ended up with a lot more achievements,
and being and altaholic, knew I wouldn't be chasing them on more than one.
So with 25 or so scattered across both servers, my main is the same today as it was at launch.

So I made a warden. I liked the nature theme, but eventually couldn't stand how all those creatures you summon look like holograms or something instead of actual wild creatures. Also was argonian so I really hated being covered in ice all the time.

Well, you don't have to use Frost Cloak, for Warden, of course - only, I assume, if you are playing a tank, or perhaps for PVP?

You could make a DPS, or healer, Warden without it.

Can use Deadly Cloak, if you dual wield, for example.

I agree with you re. the visuals, though.

I don't hate them, but I would have gone with realistic (solid) looking animals and not made them so Vvardenfell-oriented.

I would have made them more like things you would (or should!) find in (for example) Grahtwood, or Greenshade.

Even now, they could allow you to change the visuals, if they wanted.

Giant lady bugs rather than shalks...

    Eagles rather than cliff racers...

    Bumblebees rather than fetcherflies...

    ...and so on.

I know Vvardenfell was the chapter that was current when Warden was, finally, rolled out, but it was a bit gimmicky and short-sighted to make it inexorably linked with that, in my opinion.

Especially as Hunter/Ranger/Warden is not a new concept for a class and it was, originally, supposed to be launched at the same time as the game itself was.

Warden should be seen as an enduring class, in its own right; not just as some sort of extension of an old xpac.
