Dear ZoS please allow us to gift with gems too !!

Please implement allowing us to gift with gems. There is more of a variety in the crown crates than the store. Plus, this option has been wanted by players for quite awhile. It would be another little nice qol tweak to share da cool stuff with friends.

Thnx I hope the mods will consider passing this on to be considered.

Cue the raging victims of scams having lost several hundred dollars' worth of gems. That's how class actions start. Not ever going to happen IMO.

BTW you can edit your post instead of replying to yourself, and forum mods are separate from the community representatives (Jessica Folsom and Gina Bruno are the latter).

Hmmmm, I thought that you were able to do this at one point with gems.

As to the victims, they should only trade with rl friends or someone they have known for a very, very long time.

Scams have happened from the get go. This shouldn’t stop gem gifting to friends in anyway. Key-point being friends and family.

I think allowing crown gems to be trade-able might change their perceived value in a legal sense that would make crown crates be considered gambling. Legally by definition currently they aren't no matter what some might think.

You are off your rocker or totally disconnected from reality. That is only about 3 to 10x more than the crown price in in-game gold (depending on server). But it takes more than 10 crowns to get 1 gem. Why would anyone sell you crowns at a loss and with much higher stakes than in crown-to-gold sales (some gem items can cost several hundreds of dollars that the seller needs to spend upfront)?

I was really just looking at sending gifts to my friends and my bf.

I am sorry to hear some people have had bad experiences but a lot of people have not.

It is very convenient to gift wanted items to your special someone or a dear friend to brighten their day.

Given that you can get a fair supply of gems from the Twitch crates, probably not. Its more profitable for ZOS to just have you gift the Crown Crates.

I play pc and console. Console does not get gems in this that fashion.

It is not really the point but since we can gift crown items why not crown crate items? We were able to at one point but they took it away. Which is why I am asking for ZoS to kindly allow us that option again.

As someone who's lost money to scammers and paid real money to get crates, I wouldn't mind it... but its not high on my list of wants. Just gift 15 crates with the knowledge that on average it will get you 100 gems. That 500 gem mount for sale? That's 25000 crowns worth, or at 200g per crown, 5M gold.
