Are any of the Rewards for the Worthy sets any good?

I don't pvp much but managed to get out during the event and picked up my fair share of rewards boxes. Are any of the sets worth keeping or are they all pretty much decon material? The only set I definitely want to keep is Battalion Defender as I've heard it's a pretty good set for off-tanks and hybrid tanks/healers. Can't say I know much about the other sets but thought I'd ask here. Thanks for any info. Here are the set pieces I ended up with a lot of:

Battalion Defender
Battlefield Acrobat
Indomitable Fury
Soldier of Anguish
Spell Strategist
Steadfast Hero

Kittytravel

While not as good as other possible sets both Battalion Defender and Spell Strategist can be used in the more niche tank/magicka DD role respectively.
The rest I'm not sure on if they have a use.

battlefield acrobat is a good no cp / battlegrounds set. Spell strat is good for some pve content where you need pure single target damage

In short - no.

Longer answer is... well longer.

Some have niche uses, but unless you know what you are doing and know what sets you need, and need them right now, none of them are really worth hanging on to. The reason is that he market is absolutely awash with them. The sheer volume of drops that are generated from all the bazillion RotW boxes each day, pretty much guarantee that every piece of every set is readily available in guild stores. And often for a pittance too.

Spell Strategist used to be the only real exception, but even those bits are so abundant these days, that everything, except decent trait fire destro staffs, are pretty much worthless. Besides, from my experience, not that many run with the set these days.

I don't really know what the situation is in PVE, but my understandign is that there are much better sets available and it does not see that much use.

In PVP I don't see it much either, becasue most people have learned to deal with it. It's quite obvious when you are targetted by Spell Strategist, and most people cleanse or purge it before it makes any difference, or they go defensive and LoS you until the the effect is gone. So it really only works against inexperienced targets, but so do many other sets, sets that also work against experienced players.

Battlefield Acrobat and Battalion Defender have niche uses, but no where near meta. And in anycase, should you want to try either, you can find them cheaply in guild store. THe rest are kinda worthless.

So... Unless you know what you need right now for a build, my advice is to just to vendor them or decon them.

I mostly deconstruct the pieces I get from RFTW mail for the alliance style material since they're not sought after on guild stores. MM prices for most, even in ideal traits, are under 1K gold. The only exception is Spell Strategist that is also useful in PvE, in pure single target fights since it does pretty much the same thing as Master's Bow - increases your damage against a target. inferno staves sell for up to 100K if you get them in Infused or Precise, and 15-20K if they're in a bad trait. Armor is 4-6K. Pretty much the same story with battlegrounds sets, the only exception being Impregnable and Coward's Gear that are very strong defensive sets. RFTW nowadays is worse than it used to be pre-Murkmire, since back then you had way more sets that have since moved in the town gear boxes: Vicious Death, Warrior's Fury, Ravager etc.

Spell Strategist, when it first came out, was popular for like 2 minutes in PVE. One of the unfortunate things about PVP is everything on that list, and most everything else that comes out of Cyrodiil, goes straight to decon.

Use spell strat if you dont have Elsweyr and can't have pFalse God for mobile fights. In pvp some folks use it in no-cp when they dont want to use Burning Spellweave for some reason.
Battalion Defender has some very niche uses, both in pvp and pve, but its basicly discount Cyrodill's Ward.
Battlefield acrobat was an option for being sustain set for magicka chars, but got outclassed with Bright-throat.

all other is rather trash.

I use Battalion Defender on my Argonian NB PvE tank (alt) and I like it.

Spell Strategist: destro staves with the "right" traits n jewelry can be sold.

The other sets I just decon them.

Deadly doesn't drop from those rewards. Tbh only point of those rewards is transmute stone, everything else is just a trash with exception of some spell strat drops.

I personally love the spell strategist set, but it forces you to pick a target and focus on it to get the full effect. It's good for when you light attack weave though, and incredibly good in duels, but there are better sets out there.

Some of the SETS are good, but the nature of weighted RNG on traits and gear pieces keeps you from getting anything worthwhile most of the time. I still think it's dumb that stuff like spell strategist can drop in shields for example, which only serves to bloat the RNG drop tables. Seems it's tailored to give you sub-optimal pieces 99% of the time so most of them just end up being deconstructed.
