Random nord necromancer advertised as being able to raise 2 melee skeletons at once

Here is the picture of the Necromancer in question. For some reason, I am too incompetent to understand how to make it actually appear on the post.

I ask a very simple question @ZOS_GinaBruno, why can't we as players do this? Or something similar? Why can this random nord necromancer raise melee skeletons? And more than 1? In one of the Necromancer class-rep breakdown videos it is spoken about how the class doesn't really play to the advertised fantasy of the necromancers in the game and I think this is an extremely good example of that. The truth of the matter is TBH the shocking-siphon ability should be worked into the restoration siphon ability, making them both be 1 skill instead of us having 2 beam skills. And then that frees up a spot in Gravelord for another summon ability. The skill line itself even advertises as "raising hordes of relentless undead" yet the only summon is a suicidal skeleton and a mage or archer. (Talking specifically of the description for the gravelord line, I know there is the ghost.) Also summoning 1-2 melee minions with our current load out would make MANY people like myself that want more pets in the class satisfied and it'd provide more class fantasy. I literally do not see a downside to adding 1 or 2 melee summons. (Like for example it could be 1 ability, but the morphs are: make 1 powerful, tankier skeleton warrior wearing full body armor or make 2 less powerful skeletons probably just equipped with sword/shield. Could even get creative and have them have random armor sets. Have the 2 weaker skeletons spawn with random bits and pieces of armor. Like one might have some gauntlets, another a helm...etc. Just for aesthetics.)

Or if you /really/ want to keep the beams, make the skeletal warrior a tanking pet and remove grave grasp. This is quite possibly the worst ability I've ever seen in a video game. Huge mana cost for a slow that lasts less than 10sec and no damage. Morphs into being able to root or give a 5sec long buff to players or pets... I have never ONCE seen this ability cast by another necromancer player. Ever.

Nonetheless, in closing idk I'm just tired of NPC necromancers being able to do the most basic of necromancy yet we can't. Why not just make these skills available for the class like nightblade and dragon knight/sorcerers? All of their npcs use class skills, why is necromancer so different?

DISCLAIMER: having 1-2 temporary melee summons, a ranged summon, and the healing ghost would not be busted in the slightest.

In all games of this sort since their inception, NPCs have always been able to do "more" and "better" than players. It's part of the overall "whole".

Long time back-process - it all started with D&D in the 70s. Nothing much has changed since then. Yeah, the graphics are better, but the bottom line is - the NPCs (including bosses and uber-bosses) get to do stuff players don't. You don't ever get to channel Manimarco.

After all, if a player can do everything Manimarco can do, how is it either fun or rewarding - or even forwarding the quest line - because if you are just like Manimarco.... well, there's no end result. You're the same icky necromancer he is. So the MQ might as well not be in the game at all, right? And if there's no MQ.... there's no game.

Im asking for the ability to summon a melee skeleton. As a necromancer.

I guess if that's the line where draw "too powerful" then why even make it a class? Nobody here is asking for Mannimarco level powers. I'm asking for the most basic of necromancer powers....lol...

That would certainly help MagCros that seriously need help, I particularly like the Combined Beam idea but being melee Skeletons I'm guessing they would be Stamina based which is doing just fine atm.

As is, BlastBones and Skeletal Mage/Archer can be targeted that create some confusing, I think if you had an army of skeletons it may be a bit of an uneven match if you could just hide amongst them and limit your damage intake when people have difficulty targeting you. But then again I don't see how that's any different than Damage shields or NB cloaking which can be ridiculous at times fighting a ghost.

It would be nice to have a more authentic Necromancer feel, it's a bit underwhelming than I expected it to be when it was first announced but necromancy is not just about raising the dead but also soul siphoning. I have absolutely no idea what that Ice AoE with gravestones is about. That should be trashed in favor of something else more thematic IMO

I feel you, though I thought mage/ghost couldn't be targeted? But yeah, I do agree it would be nice to have more of an authentic Necromancer-feel. While I understand the soul-siphoning part, I wish they did something more unique with it than "beam to dead body". Or at the very least if the visuals for the skill looked better then I could see it being kinda cool. No clue what the gravestones is about either tbh, I wish they would get rid of them and keep the ice-y ground, but instead have skeletal hands be reaching up or something.

Or heck an interesting idea would be what if the gravestone abilities raised corpses in the area, but they could only stay confined within the "graveyard" box area? That could also be interesting.

Thats would really awesome if there was skill similar to used by Elden Hollow I final boss Canonreeve Oraneth, Summon Darkfern Skeleton when she creates pit with skeleton hands working as root and then several skeletons summoned out of that pit.

YESSS, exactly! That's honestly how I'd imagine the "Grave yard" skill working.
