Forgive me if I miss some obvious information, but why there are only 21 daily rewards for February?
Thank you

Sorry, I've just seen there's another similar thread

It's because they expect issues with people not being able to log in when we all have to download the game again ehen they update it.

So zos are giving us more time to collect the rewards on offer.

In one of the other threads about this, a community manager stated it was to account for the time it will take to redownload the whole client for Update 25 later this month. Since it will take some players a few days, at least they won’t miss out on anything because of the download.

Hey all, just confirming what some of you have already guessed: With Update 25 coming we wanted to be mindful of those who might have to spend some extra time redownloading the game. That's why there are fewer rewards this month.

that would actually be some kind of proactive thinking. Who'd have thought ...

And here was me thinking that ZOS had already been a little proactive and liberal in their thinking by making the ‘big’ daily reward drop around day 21 of each month and recognising that while they’d like everyone to play every day, sometimes life would get in the way and we’d miss a few days here and there. That’s good thinking.

That’s why the final week(s) of a month are usually full of the same semi-useless bag blockers as the first week(s).

This month they’re not even entertaining the fiction that players will be able to log in every day. Rearranging November to have 31 days was harsh on everyone, but removing an entire week from February is an insult to the calendar.

Which leaves me assuming they have made absolutely no contingencies (like additional bandwidth provision to aid download speeds) to help players having to download the entire game this month. The idea that the download time is likely to be 7 days is not a pleasant one.

While poor internet speed is a legit issue, it should only be an issue for a minority of people. And good on ZOS for thinking of those folks.
It's not going to be anywhere near a 7-day download for most people.

Isn't the final week usually full of gold/AP/telvar, which are useful and don't take up bag space?

@robwolf666 Here ya go, the latest info out.

And it hasn't just been announced here btw. On every single platform ZOS has this has been talked about. Here of course, twitter, more or less everyone of their streams. Players have been talking on reddit about it since it was first announced over half a year ago. There was more chatter, like a lot of it, when Dragonhold dropped because the first major part of the updates, the changes to the Activity Finder, went down... shall we say somewhat less than ideal.
I'm honestly a little surprised if you've played at all since June/July last year that you've managed to miss this?

Not to sound snarky or anything, but I suggest playing a bit closer attention to a game's news when you play an online game. All sorts of changes happen, all the time, and it's easy to be caught unawares by a major change (such as this one) if you never read up on the news. Usually once a quarter or something like that will do.

It’s linked in the first post of the “Performance Improvements” thread which is stickied at the top of the forums. You can find the detailed news article in the ESO website. Here’s the part that pertains to this month:
    Q1 2020: Update 25

    Patching overhaul
Work is complete and successfully launched on the ESO Public Test Server. Everything is on track to release with Update 25.

Note: This will result in approximately 16GB of savings on disk for PC/Mac, and approximately 30GB savings on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.

Load times have been significantly reduced

Reminder: Every ESO player, on every platform, will have to re-download the game client when this change happens, probably with the launch of Update 25.

    Faster loading fixtures and characters

Work is complete and successfully launched on the ESO Public Test Server. Everything is on track to release with Update 25.
As noted above, load times have been significantly reduced.

Behind-the-scenes combat ability improvements phase 2
Work is complete and successfully launched on the ESO Public Test Server. Everything is on track to release with Update 25.
We are working on investigating and fixing a number of bugs identified on the ESO Public Test Server – specifically with Block.

Work is in progress on resolving them in future PTS incremental patches.

    Frame rate improvements part 1
Effects Manager: Initial effects manager work and bug fixing is complete, on the ESO Public Test Server, and on track to release with Update 25.

During testing, we identified additional items we need to address in the effects manager. These will be delivered with Update 26. See the Update 26 section below.

Multi-threading Work: This work is complete and successfully launched on the ESO Public Test Server. This is on track to release with Update 25.

Frame Rate Improvements: Initial testing on the ESO Public Test Server shows reduced frame rate hitching and spikes – frame rate is more stable as a result and the game feels smoother and more responsive in combat. We will be monitoring this closely, especially in highly populated and high combat situations.

Acctually its the first time i see march
If we get the usual 5 week of pts then pc release in the next week it would release on the week of the 24. Then 2 week for console to the week of the 10th

I remember reading some talk about actually reducing the game size. The last time it took me days to download something, was when I had dial-up connection back in 2003ish.

It isn't until March. They're accommodating the PC side. I'm skeptical they'll do the same for console side.

Honestly, I wonder why they don't just do same-day release patches. Other developers do. Though having witnessed some of the catastrophes PC has had with some of these patches - I recall when the storage chests ate peoples inventories - I'm rather glad we don't have to deal with that by having a release delay. Lesser of two evils.

Two tattoos which are a recolor of the last one and both sets still make half your character look like digital camo. Yes they know about the bug, but they don't seem to care enough to fix it.
