I don't like bows

Right now I am leveling a 2H Stamina Warden for PVE, trying to following Alcast's build. My problem I don't like bows. What's a good way to replace that bow? What kind of skills should I pick from other skill lines? Bonus points if you bring other stamina classes into the discussion.

    Dual wield.

I have a 2H and DW build for my warden, i use the 2H bar for AoE and rally for buff and a heal.
I ran this through all veteran content including hard modes.

So, Rally, Reverse Slice, Stampede (love that, need a gap closer if you are at a distance) in the back
and rapid strikes in front. Remaining slots are taken by Warden and other skill ines.

If this is pve dont use a gap closer.

My 2H bar is ralley, shuffle, caltrop, vigor and cleave morph.

My DW bar is rending slashes, blood craze? Cliff racer, netch pet. I like Dawn breaker. DW are axes eferything is nirn honed-weapons traits are up to you. My warden is a woodelf with 5 viscous ophidian, 5 hunding rage or 5 war machine and storm fist. I use troll king for VMA runs. I always use tri pots. Its a fun build.

You need a ranged attack. Bows are best. Also the Bombard is an excellent AoE DoT. Arrow Spray has a great Snare.

Anyway the Alternative is Dual Wield.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

dont you need stampede to apply the berserker on backbar?

Stampede would be the replacement for bows Endless Hail/Arrow Barrage so yeah. That or DW back bar using Deadly Cloak to proc enchants, but I'd much rather prefer 1 full berserker enchant from back bar 2H. OP can do double 2H as warden pretty easily, there is enough great abilities. VMA 2H back bar.

Shalks, Barbed Trap, spammable, execute, wings. Ult Bear/Dawnbreaker.

Stampede, Betty, Flies, dot (carve/soultrap/caltrops), dot/wings/heal. Ult Bear/Forest.

Using stampede over deadly cloak for your back bar AOE dot for enchants, allows OP to quickly gap close enemies which feels really good since you don't have a ranged option without the bow.

Bow is still handy to restore stamina with ranged heavy attacks. Of course, the class abilities will deplete resources. I hate dual wield anymore because two-hand is best in show at melee range and being able to range light and heavy attacks is vital. Plus golding out two one-handers is just way too expensive.

Each skill/weapon has its uses. I carry a 2h (sword), dw(axe/sword), and a bow. Different weapons for different tactics. Also have a shield when I want to be tanky.

Play how you like, but keep your options open.

When I bring my Stamsorc PVP character into PVE I'd use 2H x 2H in every fight that allows melee, which is almost all of them. It's really fun in dungeons to use stampede / brawler, and all the 2H skills have a pretty satisfying look and feel the way they slam into opponents.

    My back bar would have
    Hurricane/ Stampede/ Critical Surge/ Vigor (overkill healing) /Barbed Trap/ Greater Storm Atro

    Front Bar
    Bound Armaments/ Brawler/ Wrecking Blow/ Camouflauge Hunter/ Reverse Slice/ Flawless Dawnbreaker

The back bar weapon would have an infused trait with a berserker glyph.

Just don't use stampede if you're fighting bosses while standing on a platform, like the Assembly General in Halls of Fabrication. You're gonna Leeroy Jenkins yourself right onto the floor of death.

I do. In fact archery is a very spiritual experience, the moment when you shoot is like the borderline between yin and yang. Try it. But since you are a beginner, do not buy a bow over 30 pounds and if you plan practice outside get blunt arrows. You kill less people this way.

DPSvise here is nothing to replace bow for stam DD, specialy when you using master or malestrom bow, this DPS boos is rly significant. Before dot nerfe here was couple DW/2h builds with crazy rotation which was near to DW-2h/bow builds but its history. On my stamlar endles hail + maelstrom bow do 6-7k DPS on sigl target ( without MA bow its cca 3-4k less but still lots)

but if you have Malestrom desto staf you can use this insted bow i heard about some experiment with this and results was rly impresive ( but only if you have good LA weawing)

Problem with 2h/DW builds is for most of clases 2h is significant DPS los compare to DW. You need infused 2h for berserk enchant on frontbar, which mean you need compansate penetration wia sets or CP = another DPS lost bc you can sped CP to other things isted pene, or you can use better sets which help you with dps or sustain. And result is you must do lots ofcompromises compare to BIS setups, te get decent efectivnes of your build but with hard rotation and more difficult play stly you and at 60-75% of DPS which can do with normal build.

For Maximal DPS, yep bow backbar is currently the option. But as many have noted you don't need maximal for anything. HM DLC trials you will likely want to get as much DPS as you possibly can. Elsewhere full melee works, but in a lot of mechanics it helps to be able to be ranged for a few seconds.

Anyway one option I didn't see mentioned is the https://eso-sets.com/set/drozakars-claws set. It was designed with 2h and DW builds in mind. Unfortunately is was nerfed before release and then DoTs in general were reduced the following patch. I don't know if it's still a great option for 2h/DW, but I'd test it out.
