ESO+ Trial things not going to craft bag...

It's been a long time since I played without a sub, but my sub expired and even though there is a trial of ESO+ running right now, materials are going to my main inventory rather than my craft bag and when I look at craft bag it indicates it is locked.
I thought during the free trial the craft bag was unlocked.
