What's end game like in eso ?

Savatage79
So I've never fully committed to the game because of other games but I'm curious what end game is like. Mainly just raiding ? Is there plenty to keep busy with for solo and grouping content? Thanks

I honestly don't believe this game necessarily has an end game. There's all sorts of content to play even at cp2000. PvP, master crafter, master angler, vets, helping new players, set collecting....etc. Essentially, end game is whatever you make it to be.
~There’s a positive in every negative. Sometimes the positive is harder to find than other times, but there is ALWAYS one there~

That's good to hear. How about gear , is all the best gear from raids or can you solo alot of content for some good stuff to keep busy?

End game tend to be the hardest content in the game as in Raid progression. Plenty of that in ESO you have to find the right guild however as in any MMO. One benefit of ESO is that you can join 5.
vet dlc is an level down or rather smaller size. You always has PvP.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Gear sets pretty much depend on your playstyle. Some sets are best from someone crafting for you, some are dungeons, some are PvP. There are sets that are better for pvp than pve and vice versa. Some better for tanks than healers and dps...etc

    https://eso-sets.com/

Find a set on this site that you feel fits your preferred play style, and it'll tell you where that set is located and how to get it.

There is a little of both, group and solo, considering leveling a character is so easy. One can level up their character mostly doing the main story line and the main story in each of their home alliances. That leave a lot of story in the home alliance plus all in two more areas. Then there is each DLC where there is a lot of solo stories not even getting to repeating dailies.

So yes, true end game is raiding and there is also Cyrodiill which is not specifically end game. But there is a lot of small group (dungen/arenas) and solo content available.
    Really, idk

    What's end-game like? Hmm....

Joking aside, there's plenty of end-game content to go through, like 4-person dungeons and arenas, and 12-person trials, and there's a lot of achievements associated with each dungeon/trial, as well as gear farming, score runs, etc., so lots of reasons to keep running them. Solo-wise, there's one solo PvE arena, but you can also try solo'ing stuff meant for groups, world bosses, etc., and of course try PvP'ing. I'd also add stuff like housing/fashion to end game activities, because they require heaps of gold, having your crafting levelled, plus, most motifs are rewarded for vet or hard mode clears. The good thing, like somebody commented above, is that you can basically be ushered to end game after hitting gear cap, and work your way, while levelling CP. Some of the best gear come from dungeons/trials, but there's still BIS sets that you can get from overland solo farming, or from crafting. There's a lot of sets that can accompany you till you get to the point where you want that something extra that trial sets offer, so you don't have to worry about min-maxing yet.

How involved are the raids ? How long are they ?

I have been doing raids since the EQ days, so I been doing them for about 20 years but I do get burned out a bit however I wouldn't not do them.

Hows the pvp , pretty fun overall?

Some raids can be cleared in less than 10 minutes. The early raids, 3 in Craglorn, are pretty straight forward with AA and HRC being the easiest. The newer the raid the more challenging it is. Also, there are three difficulties. Normal, Veteran, and HM difficulty. Something for everyone.

In the end, how long it takes depends on your group.

Jk aside endgame depens on the person's goal.
Some people want to clear all dungeons, trials, some pvp, some just finish zone quests, wanna have all houses etc

To me end game was when I level 1 char from each class and PvP with all of them
    And I did
Once I get to legate level my mission is complete (only 7 million AP to grind sigh)
    :D

It is player versus player. Sometimes alliance versus alliance.
So it is basically a place you fight foryour alliance. The more castles you have the better your alliance scores. In the meantime you capture outposts, resources etc and kill other enemy players from other alliances.
There are objectives like capture x castle, kill 20 enemy nightblades.
At the end of campaign depending on how much you contributed you earn some gold rewards. Also depends if your alliance is 1st or 2nd or 3rd.

But like I said, this was my goal. I wanted to be good in PvP and try every classes' flavour, and I did

1 of the best parts about this game is creating builds. Even running end game trials is about collecting gear to make yourself stronger in end game trials (they're not that strong outside of trials most of the time).

I've had the most fun in pvp since you're able to do pretty much anything you like. Trying out new builds, classes, abilities, sets, is really fun to me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The thing about PVE is you will want to push your DPS as far as possible, eventually you realize that there is a best in slot way of doing that for every class. The build choice if your being competitive is much more narrow minded.

In PVP, your DPS doesn't matter because there are many things to consider, your defense, sustain, utility, general funness of the build is all things you need to think about that frankly is missing from competitive PVE when you really just need to push damage/DPS.
