Rather, disappointed by this much too centralized announcement on vampires when I think they should have found a story a little more universal so that everyone finds it part of a story as main as it is important for the region.
Non-vampires are therefore going to need a year to feel less forgotten? Even the werewolf wasn't so much in the spotlight during its redesign and already neglected or even obsolete in the eyes of many people, by the way I think they should have opted for a war between the two species which could always come back to a werewolf/vampire/human tri-faction system that would have been more exciting I think than such a centralized story.

✭✭✭✭✭Tbh. I am kinda curious how they are going to balance it out. WWs are already useless on live and vamps are superior. They are mandatory for competitive PvP and very useful in end-game PvE - they boost your DPS by quite a lot.
So if they are going to "re-vamp the vamp" and buff it, it would be simply weird to see no changes to WW.4 -
Khatou✭✭✭✭In this case I hope that the werewolf will also follow to stay fair because from what I hear the werewolf has again become obsolete so to speak, I think it's quite true, because from a DLC I can no longer say which one, I could play it very well and with the DLC that had arrived I recognized more the werewolf as I played it.3

Damn you really hate falmer. I don't like them either but you REALLY hate them.
My guess is the head vampire is a snow elf and they wanted to tiptoe carefully to make sure saying falmer are going to be in the expansion. It seems silly to have to tiptoe like that since it doesn't really confirm anything but the ESO team is very serious about not leaking things so the devs have to be super careful not to let a leak slip, it may cost them their job.
I suspect that both because of how cautious the dev was and because that explains more about why the vampires are in Blackreach. (Not all the vampires would be falmer of course, just some)Edited by Jcarson0408 on January 17, 2020 4:05AM1 -

They are there but always a side thing you can decide to be part of. Sure one will show up in a story from time to time and you need to decide if you should cut off its head but your always happy when you have moved on to something else. It's a side dish not the main course. This is allot to have to eat over a long year as the main focus.5 -

Stravokov✭✭✭✭i been waiting for this for years. about times vamps got a remake. one thing i love about WWs is how you feel like your playing a werewolf, having to feed and cause carnage. finally vampires can be vampires and feed on blood! plus they said the story was more in line with what rivenspire was. being a D&D Ravenloft DM, that is right up my alley and i am supper stoked about the chapter and changes.
Bring on the Dark themes, ive been waiting for them!8 -

Shame it's focused on vampires when Skyrim has so much else to offer like bards, snow elves, a complete Winterhold, dragonborn/shouts, greybeards, companions, crossbows/dawnguards. The things that made Skyrim, Skyrim, besides just mere settings. Meanwhile the community was hyped for 1-hand and rune or spellcrafting.
I think the antiquities with mystic items will be a cool new addition, very unexpected to have scrying and excavation added. I personally think having Necromancer last year and then Vampires this year, to be a bit too much dark arts related for so long.

People are not getting it, it's not that this type of content is not in the game. Dark topics are touched on all over the place but that's not all TES is about, a whole year on this one subject? I don't want to spend a whole year on that one subject. Vamps getting an update, sure. Make it the first part of the 4 updates, sure. A whole year, not with my money.3 -
