First off... I hate surprises 😂😂 but hey...

Why don't we just get all our friends and even family members to all help out by watching the stream only for mere couple minutes?

Just entirely crush the numbers? I kinda really wanna know how disappointed will everyone be with whatever this huge secret is 😂

I just looked at the weather forecast for Vegas tomorrow afternoon - unbroken sunshine, light breeze, 62'F / 17'C.

The surprise will be how they are going to turn this into a "Snow Bear" plunge.

First off, yes, Zos wants you to get your friends and more to watch this as OP seems to pun. The idea is to hype the stream to get more viewers which to some degree is a bragging right.

So yea, do exactly what OP suggests. That is the emotional blackmail Zos is presenting us with. Granted, it does not serve Zos very well to dangle a secret prize in front of our noses only to tell us we failed big time so we do not get the prize.

Think about that for a moment while you look back on previous giveaways where participation was hidden yet we had to reach certain numbers to get the prizes. This is a promotion just like those.

Nothing wrong with that i guess. Do most of us already buy christmas presents? And if you're not from the west, don't you spend stupid money on stupid holidays once every year? I bet all us have something like that, and that's already worse than giving a stream some extra viewers lol.

I suddenly don't feel the need to rush home from work tomorrow evening like I was originally planning.
I mean, I would bet my paycheck that they will surpass 150K, easily, even without my help.
A staff member having to act on a dare isn't exactly what I had envisioned for a carrot, though.
I'm fine with not trying to stress myself out at work so I can leave on time, and watching the recorded stream at my leisure over the long weekend.

People want so much handed to them for free. The bat pet and Twitch Drops are great. You do not have to even be watching to get the bat as long as others do. Go play WoW where you pay to watch their reveals and for your handouts or Final Fantasy XIV where the reveals are great and free but you definitely do not get handed anything for watching.
You will get a mount if you pre-order the new chapter. You should not have to be f'ing paid to watch a reveal for the future of a game you supposedly enjoy. Seriously what is wrong with people?

Heaven forbid that anyone do something light hearted and fun for just the hell of it. Nobody has to pay to watch or log in, it is assumed if you are logging in it is for the information provided. It was an additional perk I would think and just something thrown on as a joke more than anything else.
Down right disturbing how anti-fun people are in here on a gaming forum.
Also for someone who does not care about anything free, it is pretty odd that all of the sudden you do not find it worth logging in (since you were not logging in for something free so must have been rushing home to watch for the information right?) after finding out that the post 150k perk was a "stupid human trick"

Nope. I have no problem with people being light-hearted and fun. Hell, I just said I PAY people for the privilege of watching them do stupid stuff just for the hell of it.
And I said I'm gonna watch the recording of the stream at a later time, because I AM very interested in the information they will be giving.
I'm just not going to bust my ass to get out of a busy workplace at my normally-scheduled time for once just so a dude can jump in water in the winter-time for the sake of live Twitch views.

BUT... if they tied it into a "Save the Polar Bears" charity drive, I would very likely change my mind.

Meh I want a skyrim themed mount, costume, weapon skin.. why does it seem like the hold everything for the cash shop. Couldn't care less about a pet. That being said I will still be tuning in for the reveal regardless of the freebies.
