I wouldn't mind them updating/adding to the current vampire and werewolf lines, but not at the expense of some other potential skill lines. As already posted, new Vampire Lord or Werebear doesn't add anything new. Tweaking the current skill lines would be fine.
I'd rather see a new skill line, such as perhaps a bard. I dunno what else, unless we could learn a few basic shouts - nothing overpowering, but on the level of what Ulfric was able to attain. Or perhaps something associated with the Mages College in Winterhold, but we already have the Psijic skill line.
I'd be down for a Vampire Lord boss in a Dungeon but I can already imagine the chaos of complaints & balance issues from Vampire lords floating around the battlefield in PvP - it ain't pretty
I suspect that has a lot to do with the bloodline in question. Vampires in Skyrim got Sanguinare Vampiris... BUT the ones we can be in ESO go with contracting Noxiphilic Sanguivoria as their path towards a life of blood and coffins! You seemed to of forgotten how you get the blessing in Skyrim. A vampire lord can make another a vampire lord, it doesn't need the consent or blessing straight from Molag Bal. So nope, players can still become vampire lords. Try again. (:

As the different names clearly show... there are differences. And what counts for one may not count for the other (or have you recently experienced the sun burning you like in skyrim on your ESO vampires?)
And thus... well... it probably -would- take an divine (or at least daedric) act to actually turn our player vampires into such a creature.
Also, as said, they covered the "transform into battle form" thing already with werewolf, and thus this is a matter of "get it on that side"; they would not want their vampires to become like werewolves after all...
Of course, you could always go for just the physical appearance, a vampire lord polymorph would fit quite well into the crown store (since those things are more like illusion disguises anyhow)
They could actually just change the werewolf skill line and add two more transformation options to choose from since Lycanthropy in TES lore isn’t limited to wolves.
When it comes to Vampire Lord, maybe that is something that is limited to the Volkihar Clan, if your read Immortal Blood
https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Immortal_Blood you will see that different vampire clans have different abilities and it doesn’t seem we are part of the Volkihar Clan in ESO

It is not a part of just the Volkihar clan. If you read that clan's page, their abilities are different from a vampire lord. Vampire lord is a BLESSING given by molag bal himself to any vampire.

I am afraid you are the one wrong there...TheShadowScout wrote: »I suspect that has a lot to do with the bloodline in question. Vampires in Skyrim got Sanguinare Vampiris... Still wrong Im afraid.
Sanguinare vampiris is a strand related to skyrim, yes, but it absolutely is not the Volkihar clan and thus has no relation to getting vampire lord...
Skyrim had werebears and vampire lords. They are 100% Elder Scrolls lore. If you don't like Elder Scrolls lore, then why do you play it?CaffeinatedMayhem wrote: »Edit: Go play Twilight in another game please.

The -clan- of Volkihar vampires is INDEED infected with Sanguinare Vampiris... not Porphyric Hemophilia like in earlier TES games, not Noxiphilic Sanguivoria like in ESO... but Sanguinare Vampiris.
There are many clans of vampires, and the secret of becoming a vampire lord may only be known to the Volkihar (I cannot remember it showing up anywhere else, really, unless you could the gargoyle transformation in ESO, which since it happens in skyrim and never with any other vampires, might just be a Volkihar member...), but the bloodline... that one is growing from the same disease as ALL vampires in TES-V:Skyrim (simply through coding constraits, they wouldn't bother making two seperate vampiric diseases for one game, and while the different diseases are only ever used to explain the change in game mechanics, that IS the lore we live with!)
Sooo... yes indeed, it is an entirely different bloodline.
No vampire lord for ESO player vamps! But hey, also no sunburn!
Okay, so it actually is up to the developers if whatever "gift of Molag Bal" the vampire lord transformation is based on can cross bloodlines. Yes, ESO vampires are of a different bloodline... but it -might- be possible for that one to be able to transform other lines as well if they so choose.
But... once again, how would that help them, except in making vampires more like werewolves and thus diluting their uniqueness in the game? Worse, the advantages some dream about need still be balanced, and thus would either be watered down, a lot, or need to come with some really hefty drawbacks...
I just sort of doubt they will want to make the effort, and would seem more likely to just offer a cosmetic-only polymorph in the crown store someday (I mean, we DID get werewolf lord that way, so...)
I just want vampires in ESO to work just like werewolves do. Where you get no benefits from it unless you are shifted into it's "form". (yes, I'm still salty about werewolves losing their old stam passive. I hate vampires and refuse to become one.)
