I'm a little confused about accessing the small DLCs included with ESO plus

BackLotBasher
I just started a month sub on ESO plus, and while I already own TG, DB, and CC, I was wondering about some of the other small episodes listed under DLC. I found Murkmire on the map, so I know how to get it, but are the other small ones just things like dungeons and trials with quests inside, or do they have story zones?

If they're just trials and such, do I assume there's not much point in me doing them, since my overall CP is only a shade over 300.

You can certainly do Trials on Normal Mode. If you know the mechanics of the role you play that is. A trial progression build can really help those new to trials.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Is the text chat a good way to find spots with a trial group?

The Smaller DLC zones like Murkmire and Clockwork City etc are story content, they have bosses, delves and other over world content to complete, you can access them on the collectable tab in game and start story and will lead to where you need to go...or you can port directly there via wayshrine or port to a guildmate.

The DLC dungeons are four man grp content, if stuck for a grp ask guild mates, ask in zones or use the group finder tool, each has its own story and skill point in each dungeon, you can get this in either vet or normal mode. :)

Yes or hang out in Craglorn and see who is posting LFG for one of the trials up there. The Craglorn trials are the beginner ones to get your feet wet. From there, you should be able to find a Trials guild by asking in group chat.

We have three kinds of dlc content.

Chapters, Adventure Zones, and Dungeon Packs. Some Chapters and Adventure Zones have 4 player Arenas and 12 player Trials. Dungeon Packs only contain 4 player Dungeons that are placed anywhere in the world, but they do all have their own Quest.

The majority of the DLC you don't already have is just dungeons.

The following DLCs are just pairs of dungeons with no open-world map or non-dungeon content included:
    • Shadows of the Hist (Cradle of Shadows and Depths of Mazzatun).
    • Horns of the Reach (Bloodroot Forge and Falkreath Hold).
    • Dragonbones (Fang Lair and Scalecaller Peak).
    • Wolfhunter (Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices).
    • Wrathstone (Frostvault and Depths of Malatar).
    • Scalebreaker (Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok).

Other than the ones you mentioned in your post the only DLCs which include a new map are Orsinium (Wrothgar map, north of Stormhaven), Morrowind (Vvardenfell, the island north of Stonefalls), Summerset (the island west of Auridon, also called Summerset), and Dragonhold (Southern Elseweyr, east of Grahtwood). There's also Northern Elseweyr, but that's currently a chapter so it's not included with ESO+.

There's also the Imperial City which used to be a DLC and is now free for everyone. That includes a map - in the centre of Cyrodiil - and two dungeons, but it's got very few quests and minimal PvE content other than bosses to kill.

If you did not have the previous chapters (Morrowind and Summerset), you'll now have access to them through ESO+ also Wrothgar, which I highly recommend. Great story there.
