expectations on thursday? what do you hope for the future of ESO?

I expect nothing spectacular and after the last few years I am sure to keep the bar of expectation low. With that said, here are the things I hope to see:

    - No nerfs
    - True PvP leaderboards
    - Better PvP rewards for leaderboard placement
    - At least discussion around what the future holds for CP
    - Spears
    - Perhaps another crafting avenue maybe similar to the collectible system in FFXIV

Meh none of this will happen lol

I'm really hoping for a Bard skill line, other than that i hope they finally fix the bug where your weapons go invisible or you end up running on them.

I'm also really hoping we aren't going back to dolmens or geysers in Skyrim, i think the dragon ones are a step in a more interesting direction. That being said i don't want it to be dragons again, will be interesting to see what they decide to do though.

My thoughts around a skill line are related one of these: spell crafting, vampire, forsworn/briar-heart, new weapon

They should have dark anchors, or at least dolmens, in Skyrim. I'd like to see some consistency with Eastmarch and Rift and not just dream up a way to exclude them because it is 2020.

Thats a fair point about the dolmens i suppose, i personally just find them a bit boring at this point. For the skill lines i doubt we will see spell crafting, i know a lot of people want it but it just seems highly unlikely in my opinion. We also already have a vampire skill lines so it would be weird if we got a completely new one, maybe a rework of the existing one though! Forsworn/briar-heart skill lines could also be interesting and i think i would really enjoy a new weapon too. :)

I think that, for 2020, the only chance we have for spell crafting is if they include Winterhold and the College. Those two would go together like milk and cookies. This is the only reason it remains in my list.

I would love to see a new weapon, and that is something that would definitely be exciting.

The fact that they are making more of a spectacle out of the announcement this year than any other year, complete with an arena-filled audience on hand to watch, has me seriously wondering if some kind of game changing new system is about to be revealed.

my hopes (ones that are feasible)

Spellcrafting system that makes the homogenization of skills worth it

Expanded skill lines for existing weapon types to get some of the Fancy moves NPC got in recent DLC (Spinning dual wield charge: sword and shield superman jump slam, etc)

One new weapon combat style and one new universal skill line

More things to do in and reasons to visit player housing (minigames? Exp bonus?)

Dynamic overland content that adds element of risk (roving packs of elites for example)

    Update to the CP system

Graphics / animations updates for player characters

    What I expect

A new landmass that will be abandoned like Murkmire a year after release

New dungeons that will be shunned for easier ones

A story that will be interesting the first time and boring subsequent times.

Here is my hoping, or dreaming:

    5. Skyrim having size as it should be, not 2 cities connected with 25m long road and 99% doors chained
    .

This 100000000000% is shamful how this is done in every single city

I don' expect any big huge zones, and I do expect a lot of locked doors and inaccessible areas. The team does a great job, and it will look beautiful, but I figure that they just don't have the time to create something deep and detailed.

I would _love_ to see all of ESO Skyrim united in a giant, detailed, zone with no overland loading screens. Ain't gonna happen, though. :disappointed:

A "II version" of the remaining vanilla dungeons. So many ended on cliffhangers, and there are still many types of creatures which weren't turned into a mask yet.

The ones that don't have sequels yet are:
    • Direfrost Keep -- in Nord country, could clearly use a sequel
    • Vaults of Madness -- great dungeon, clearly needs a sequel
    • Blessed Crucible -- in Nord country, doesn't need a sequel, could have one
    • Blackheart Haven -- doesn't need a sequel, could have one
    • Arx Corinium -- doesn't need a sequel, could have one
    • Tempest Island -- doesn't need a sequel, could have one

Hi, i wonder, what will thursday bring.. What will be announced. For sure new chapter, but i wonder, if this will be the same style like in years before... or can we expect something new.. some "radical" changes in game...(for example, capes - which for sure not,... but for example... ).

I expect some changes in PVP, otherwise i do not expect some "radical" changes in ESO...

On the other note, if there will be only announcement of new chapter with no "big" new news... then i will be very disapointed. Somehow, game need some new things, not only same system every year...

    What do you think?

Vampires. Anything to do with them, but preferably a re-vamp of the skill line.

the things that could excite me most would be any of the following, from most to least exciting:

-optional difficulty increase mode for overland/questing
    -champion point rework details
    -spellcrafting mentioned
-new class, monk would be my favorite, bard 2nd favorite
-the city of winterhold in its glory days
    -new weapon skill line
    -new skill line in general
-other reachmen perspectives besides being sadistically evil

Other lore related details and reveals could be on the list, potentially even at the top of the list, all depending on what it is and how deep it goes

A new mechanic or system. Something that makes combat more interesting than it is now.

I really don’t want another Summerset or Elsweyr in that regard.

We’re playing the same game for 6 years and all Chapters have been almost identical besides the visuals which is... sad.

I wish they could. Either that or throw a few more overland designers into the mix so they can accomplish more in the same amount of time. It's not like this game is suffering.

Some sort of magblade healer buff. Templar is great, I’m finding warden overrated just because with ability lag it takes too long to cycle your buffs, but I started as a magblade and would love to be able to play it again.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
Condemned and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

I hope that they finally get their act together and develop new game systems like spellcrafting or the overhauled champion system. In terms of gameplay, ESO feels like the most underdeveloped MMO I've played. The only thing we got ever since chapters were introduced are 2 new classes, which are useless for existing characters and didn't add anything to the game as a whole, because ESO's classes effectively all play the same.

It feels like the only people still working on this game are the dungeon and zone teams. So what I expect is a look at what they have been working on.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

Nerf to templars, for the love of sanguine, bring dots back to normal levels instead of these absurd tickle levels, reduce the availability of purges, or increase cost, as it stands now necro, warden, and templar can all purge my entire burst with 0 consequences.

Other than that if there are no performance changes I will be gone when new world comes out. The absolute miserable state of this game and the inability of the devs to fix the performance issues is glaring to me, and no amount of excellent dlc will change that. It has just progressively gotten worse since elsweyr, and this weekend was the worst.

Expectations? None. Better ot have none, so you won't be disappointed by the incompetence.

Hopes? Fixes on lag, bugs, crashes. Nothing more. No new content, no new items on crown store, no new gimmicks. Just fix the current gameplay.
