New crafting opportunity and game idea for next Skyrim Chapter.

Give us a new VMA but instead of earning weapons at the end you earn 1 to 5 pieces of Stahlrim Orr which can be taken to a forge somewhere in Skyrim and can allow you to forge really good item sets and weapons.

Allow the Stahlrim Orr to be sold on the AH creating a high priced demand since its locked behind hard solo content.

However you can keep this arena relevant by periodically adding new sets and weapons over time that can only be made from this material exclusive to Skyrim.

Have it so a chest piece cost 30 orr, weapon 50 orr, legs 25 orr, hands and feet 15 Orr so it's not easy to do it once or twice to get a full set or weapons.

The concept of this is something I think the entire game could benefit from. Having combat activities give you materials that can then be used to forge better gear I think is the way they should have done most of the endgame content, never mind just a solo arena.

Another idea could be allowing that special ore to upgrade existing weapons of all kinds with new boosts... but generally I think it would be nifty to have special crafting materials you can only get from special enemies.

Kinda wish they had made all the undaunted stuff like that... collect "monmster trophy" pieces, get enough pieces together and go to the "undaunted armorer" to be made into a helmet or shoulderpiece of your choice... that sort of thing...

I mean, it will either be too op and p2w advantage, or it will not be worth it at the end of the day, and therefore end up being worthless, like bloodthirsty trait stones are low price.

By you line of reasoning why not make it so those who are Grand Master Crafters get a new skill line and opportunity to farm super rare uber mats to make a new high end gear set?

Fine by me I have played since beta and am mostly max everything but I can still see when there is a content lock which ESO typically avoids doing (they do it sometimes but tend shy away from it)

The ore can be sold on the traders so it's not exactly content locked. They could add the forge to somewhere around Windhelm or the Rift.

It doesnt require you to be grand master crafter since a level 1 could use the forge, it either requires you to pay probably the absorbant amount the orr would be priced at to complete sets/weapons or if you have the DLC actually attempt to play it and beat it.

Really liking the idea of that. Kudos to you fellow human!

But I do think we will be getting a lvl re-hall when the new champion system rolls out. So we will see what the powers may be (insert charmed theme tune) have in store before anything extra like that is added.

I cant even begin to speculate on what they plan to do with CP but I am sure if they implemented my idea or a idea like mine they would implement it with the future of the game in mind.
