Cool idea, but only if it will be safe to switch between Werewolf / Werebear or be able to be both Lycanthropes (not at once of curse ! :D ), just to be able to have both skill lines on one character - since if you have WW and you are in human form and not have WW ulti slotted, you basically have nothing. In case of Vampire, there are some passives, always working in the background, so that is why (I guess) game does not allow to be ww & vamp at the same time - it would be too strong.

Alternatively, one should just be able to switch type of Lycanthropy via daily quest NPC, once you have "Lycanthropy Master" Achievement.

I would be equally happy with being given the ability to just apply a skin to my ww transformation as I would a new line. If they were to introduce a whole new skill line it should be centered around tanking and buffing/debuffing so as to not just have a second ww skill line.

All of this should be implemented at the same time as or after a vampire tweak, because they could use some love in the qol department.

How about Werewolf skins? Then you could technically get to play as a werebear with the skin. They both are technically simular anyway. So why not just make it a skin.

agree. i think a lot of people would buy it

You do realize you're playing an Elder Scrolls game, right? And that werebears are a big part of Elder Scrolls lore? They were in the Skyrim expansion called "Dragonborn."

I've said it often enough; the werebear druid being my favorite character in Diablo II: LoD, I'd like to see a werebear skill-line, here.

I don't know how well established they are in 2E Tamriel, but I can't imagine that they aren't around at all at this time, in some way, and just sprung into being starting with 4E, plus it is documented in-game that one of Hircine's aspects is Hrokkibeg, the mighty bear.
So lore-wise, I don't believe it would be out of line.

There's a guy on March of Sacrifices dungeon who is a werebear (or at least claims to be) and has an awesome haircut. He never transforms tho. But at least we know they are around in this Era.

simple solution: Werewolf skins in the Crown Store

    that way they can add:
    Were-Bears
    Were-Crocodiles
    Were-Sharks

Along with different skin colors for each one

Lorewise Werebears are very common in Skyrim. Some People were upset we didn't get to play them in Dragon born dlc Zenimax can correct that mistake. Why vampire lords when we can have werebear transformation! Please do it zenimax! Let my werebear character be a werebear!

I always thought it was a shame ESO didn't include more forms of lycanthrope. There's several in TES lore which are supposed to be more common in different parts of the world: werebears in Skyrim, wereboar in Highrock, werelions in Elseweyr etc. so a TES game covering the whole continent (or at least bits of every province) was the perfect opportunity to include them all. Even if they were just different skins for the werewolf skills.

    From the wiki:

A common misconception is that the form a person takes upon contracting Lycanthropy varies according to their species. Although a particular type of Lycanthropy is more common in a certain province, there is no evidence to suggest the type is solely based on the race of the afflicted.[3]

Werewolves are the most common form among men, mer and extremely rarely, beastfolk. They can be found in all areas of Tamriel, such as Skyrim, High Rock, Hammerfell, and Solstheim.
Werebats sometimes serve as guardians to vampire clans and are commonly found in Valenwood.
Werebears can be found in Solstheim and also in Skyrim, however they make no appearances in the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.[4]
Wereboars are located in High Rock and Hammerfell.
Werevultures are reportedly rare in Valenwood.
Werelions can be found in Black Marsh, the Imperial Province, and the jungles of Elsweyr.
Werecrocodiles are known to lurk in isolated swamps of Black Marsh and southern Morrowind.
Weresharks are said to roam the seas, according to M'aiq the Liar, but little is known about them.

These certain types of lycanthropy can be found mainly in their originating homelands, however partial amounts of the creatures can be seen in neighboring provinces.

Let's even go one step further. Why don't they just add WW skins in general? That why if you wanted to be a werebear, buy the skin and throw it on. If you want a white or gray werewolf berserker, throw the skin on. They could even add werewolf skins with scars or other unique features to make your werewolf unique from others.

I don't think I've ever been accidentally infected by a werebeast in TES. Vampires occasionally, but the nearest I've come to getting lycanthropy without going out of my way to find someone to infect me is doing the Companions quest line in Skyrim on my first play-through, which went from "Oh so this is basically the fighters guild" to "Oh, wait...so you're...oh, I have to..." to "Eh, I never sleep anyway and disease resistance is nice" and finally "Ha! You fools, silver swords don't help against fireballs do they? But thanks for the extra-valuable loot!" (Seriously, why do werewolf hunters never consider that they have to deal with their victims normal form and abilities too?)

Then in ESO when I decided to find an NPC bloodspawn to turn one of my characters into a vampire (so I got the extra bit of the quest) I found werewolves two or three times before I found bloodspawn. (I didn't get infected by them though.)

I would not mind seeing both actually I would like to see both transformations. But with Skyrim I think Werebears would be the most appropriate.. I just hope its something on the table. More then likely then naught they won't do it which will be very disappointing. I do hope they do have them in mind.

Well raising this thread since its not that old and saves me from having to do another one. I was clearly wrong about them not doing vampire lords. They are doing them but I do really want to still see werebears. Even if not this year maybe next year. They could even do them with the Reach dlc coming later this year. But I really would like to see Werebears added in as a new lycanthropic strain we can transform into besides Werewolves. So who is with me that Werebears should be a thing? They are like the second most common Lycanthropic strain besides Werewolves so I think they should be added in. Hopefully next year they will have the sword and rune skill line as well.

I only want them to do lore friendly lycanthropes. Couldn't mean they couldn't have a costume where you look like a chicken like Fable but still lets try and keep this more about the lore friendly Hircine Lycanthropes. Predators/Hunter Type Lycanthropes.
