What I want to see with The Reach or Chapter 2021, Playable Werebears.

Lorewise Werebears are very common in Skyrim. Some People were upset we didn't get to play them in Dragon born dlc Zenimax can correct that mistake. Why vampire lords when we can have werebear transformation! Please do it zenimax! Let my werebear character be a werebear!

Edited the title since we are clearly not getting them with the chapter this year. I was really wrong about them not doing vampire lords I thought they were not going to do those and if they did they would be something like the Werewolf Lord Polymoprh. Since this chapter seems to be introducing Vampire Lords. I still want to see Werebears.

Playing Skyrim I hated running into these more than Dragons. I also played in the hardest difficulty.

Adding in this over Vampire Lords for vamps would be such a laugh in the face for vampires.

Best bet here is to add in both.

Yes that would be ace! Plus other forms as well :)

Would be ace if it wasn’t just a skin you can buy in the crown store.

They could add both but given the lore on vampire lords they are extremly rare because of that I think they shouldn't do it but it would cool though. Werebears would be a safer choice, Because besides werewolves they seem to be the second most common lycanthrope. It would add a unique dymanic I can see players building up Rival werewolf vs werebear guilds.
In my opinion Skyrim Chapter would be a perfect opportunity to add playable werebears. With its own unique skill line and everything.

Don't really see a need for it, would it really be that much different game play wise that werewolfs? Because I already don't bother with those.

I went through character creation, chose my class made my characters look the way I wanted them too farmed/bought the sets I wanted, applied an out fit based on the motifs I have collected.

Why would I want to hide all that to change into a creature temporarily lose access to the skill bars I had set up in favor of one set up for a werewolf/bear/Vampirelord?

I don't doubt some role players would like the option but its just not for me.

That said I would rather see Werebears than Vampirelords, personally found the Vampirelord transformation to be one of the stupider/poorly implemented ideas that Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC added to the lore, I have no desire for there return.

I mean, dragons used to be extremely rare and "they shouldn't do it, but it'd be cool" though. Now look what happened. Idk, at this point I feel like if they can get dragons to work in ESO they can get Vampire Lords to work.

If werewolves get a new form, vampires need to get SOMETHING at least. Whether that be a new vampire bloodline or a re-vamp of the current skill line to give them a full 5 skills.

If werewolves were to get another form and vampire still not get nothing, it'd be such an insult to players who want to play as something more than just a passive-based vampire. Couldn't you agree?

So, maybe not vampire lords, but vampires need **something**. At this point, they are more than deserving of a full skill line.

Honestly, I think that people would probably be disappointed regardless. I mean, look at werewolves, currently. They've been basically gutted down to role playing gimmicks in pve and probably niche in pvp.

If werebears followed the same suit, it would also be redundant for abilities. I'm assuming they would have the same skills, because what else could they literally do with them? Some form of claw/maul, roar, pounce/charge abilities that would be different than werewolves?

I couldn't really picture how vampire lord would work without a complete overhaul of the vampire tree. Would it be the same as werewolf, with it being the ultimate, and limiting the vampire skills (mist, drain) only able to be used in that form? Where would bar swarm fall into the picture? At the least, they need to rework some of the passives.

I do think vampires need an overhaul.
Vampiric appearance for one. Overhaul in the overall paleness plus better-looking vampires when it comes to eyes and less fuggly stage four and three with better vampiric eyes then what they have done in the game similer maybe to vampire dawnguard eyes would be nice non glow skyrim dawnguard eyes for stage three and glowing eyes that some vampires have for stage four dawnguard style. Fangs in the mouth as well when you do your feeding animation no matter what stage your in. And a better stage three and four. Then also how the condition works I know some clans have the ability to grow stronger when not well fed. But that shouldn't be the case. With eso because there is to many benefits for not acting like a vampire at all. Make vampiric abilities stronger and do more damage when well fed. Maybe reduced cost for being at stage four but more powerful at stage one. So there is a lot they can do to make them better. As for werebears I still want to see them and I would like to have them as playable too.
So I can see they doing changes to vampire maybe adding more abilties while also adding werebears.

Well I don't think anything is off the table. Except maybe Serana given she should be locked up by now. They could still maybe add a vampire lord somehow. But I still think they should do werebears. While maybe taking in consideration of a possible vampire lord polymorph.

Hadn't considered this before, but this would be awesome!

It's funny how few opportunities there are to see any other lycanthropes outside of werewolves in any media. Daggerfall had the wereboars, and I think there were a few werebats in Legends, but that's about it.

Skyrim's werebears (and the werebats in ESO already) were pretty much just creatures - there was only the one quest where you saw the dude transform and that was it. Would be cool to get a werebear line in the new chapter, and to have them finally be playable.

How about Werewolf skins? Then you could technically get to play as a werebear with the skin. They both are technically simular anyway. So why not just make it a skin.

I've heard players saying they would like WWs to have a tank option but it would make more sense to me to make WBs tanky if they introduced them. And as for Vampire Lords, they could add that as a vamp transform ulti like WWs have now.

Aaaannd that is the important question.

After all, it makes little sense for them to add something they already have, unless its very different. And try as I might, I can imagine only the most minor of differences... so at best it might be a purely cosmetic thing, yes? And I doubt they would get enough extra sales from that to make it worth their while coding...
