Imperials being left out of the new life fun......

I've thought about it for a bit and imperials are the only playable race left unrepresented within the new life dailies. Every playable race has a quest within the dailies during new life to show you how they celebrate..... except imperials. You could have an imperial quest in the base game somewhere that is not Cyrodiil or a DLC zone, I can't think many places off the top of my head but maybe Malabal Tor in the baandari trading post could be suitable or other base game places that have small imperial towns that the daily could be held. Imperials are the most neglected race within eso (some people even mistake them all for being evil) even if you're not an imperial fan you can clearly understand and see that an entire playable race does not have a quest about them and how they celebrate within the new life dailies (imagine if the whole Khajiit race was left out, people would be up in arms!). Yes, the imperial race is only played by being purchased, however, they are still an in-game playable race so there is really no reason to have them left out of the new life daily festivities.

Imperials (theoretically) get a whole festival to themselves at Mid Year. The Elf killing festival. What could be more fun!

Here a few place were we could see imperial celebration

Arentia
cyrodiil gate (like in midyear have a envoy sharing their celebration with the alliance)
Belkarth (there could be refugees from elinir)
Imperial sewer base since the dlc is now free, i wouldnt celebrate new year in a sewer tough

There is avaiable place to see them celebrate
Zos just need to update the festival

They are not going to put the daily in Cyrodiil. “New Life” and a warzone do not mix. And they are not going to melt these forums with “forced pvp” complaints, or Cyrodiil is “extra laggy” with the people joining just to do the daily.

They could put it in Belkarth but that is technically a Redguard area. Is the lore implying the imperials joined the DC? A better idea would be to have it at the various Cyrodiil gates like in Reapers March, etc. But I can’t think of a Cyrodiil gate in the EP area. (I could have forgotten it though.) Until such Gate gets added to the vanilla zones that idea has to be abandoned.

Imperial sewers are out because again warzone, and the starting areas are technically strongholds for the various factions not the imperials.

My personal “best” idea (and it’s not even that good) is open up the Gold Coast to everybody for the festival and have the daily in that zone. It’s not pure imperial but it’s close enough.

Just because you consider a race "not fun" does not mean they don't deserve a spot in the new life dailies many other people love imperials and do find them fun.

Midyear Mayhem is not part of new life, so therefore this does not make up for the lack of them not being in new life.
That's like saying (as a theoretical example) the orsinium celebration is celebrating the orcish lands so therefor it makes up for their theoretical absence from new life (if they were not represented that is).

One more idea would be to have Bravil in Cyrodiil (which can be seen but not ordinarily accessed in the battleground) be its own instanced area for various Imperial activities. (Like this festival.) But that costs money and I am not sure if they have the budget for it.

Imperials get no love in ESO, they are always the bad guys in storylines. They are given improper racial passives for a race you have to purchase, and that is not completely accurate per the lore. I would like to see a change and a complete 180 for imperials in 2020

Plot armor is one hell of a defensive spell. It can even save you from being sacrificed in a ritual to restore the Amulet of Kings. Of course he is alive.

More on topic, ESO kinda makes it feel like the Empire is not really a thing in this time period. Imperial quest will feel shoehorned no matter how you add it unless they address this systematic issue. And that's just not worth the hustle.

Well like i sais for the cyrodiil gate the imperial do come in for the midyear mayhem, why not for new life? And if the quest can be done within the gate area nobody if forced to pvp it really depend on what would be the quest

As for belkarth just west is the town of elinir wich does have a imperial archetecture and imperial living there. The town is currently attacked by something (have'nt done that quest yet) but it wouldnt be that far fetch to have refugee in belkarh

Arentia also is from imperial architecture and as a few imperial citizen.

There is also the gate to cyrodill placed near elinir and Arentia wich could be good as you said

Or the gold coast and eso+trial combo during new life is also an option if they want to go that way

If they can do the Altmer quest in Grahtwood and the Bosmer quest in Auridon, they can do an Imperial quest anywhere.

Imperials get no love . It really makes me dislike questing because I always have to betray my race and they never recognize you as imperial. I remember a quest line in alikr where you have to impersonate an imperial officer and everytime you found the friendly npc they would say oh your no imperial...like ya bro I am I'm just not a bad guy please recognize that :'/.

Well, when they did the base game content. It was on the basis of a three on three on three war. With races that dislike each other the most allied together for a common cause. Imperials, have been the ones that unify the others but their provience is pvp zone and they are outsiders and refugees. They should have equal representation even if they are outside to the three way alliance going on. It might even be because of how most of the games imperials have always been treated as some form of outsider as for the reasoning for not doing a quest for them. Even the Orcs with their unique lore are not really pariahs and actually have a unique connection to the high rock region where many orcs live. When they did Morrowind they altered and retconned many of the things from before. Made Orcs and Imperials playable. The reason I think was they did not want to be d&d when it came to Orcs. Though Orcs are considered to be the Pariah race. In actuality Imperials fit that mold better since they have been treated as if outsiders. They were treated this way in Daggerfall, In Morrowind and somewhat in Skyrim.

What imperials have that are unique is their ability to hold on and build up empires and keep the other provinces in line. Where Orcs are Parriahs but still have a place, Imperials are outsiders and don't have much of a place other then their home province which is in ruins basically and covered in war and daedra. They don't really recover till after Tiber Septim rebuilds the empire. Which is like four hundred more years I think.

What they should do for imperials is do something unique for them other then their good skills at diplomats, traders and merchants they have a unique culture when it comes to Arenas and Arena Style Fighting. Now their quest could involve dueling in several of the arenas they put in or the special arena they put in just for dueling. In Stormhaven. I think it would make good use and make people aware that this location actually exists.

So for imperial quest. Breda says, My friends in the Imperial city use to duel in the Arena. Before the Daedra. Why don't you duel with another in the various Arenas.
That would be very fitting for imperials and give them a quest. The condition should be win or lose.
I think there would be no better quest fitting then a quest to duel in an arena.

I can’t remember what this is called — phases, shards, something. But you can enter some regions and its 1) before the quest, then 2) full of bad guys, 3) over and done with. That is, the same area but presented different ways.

Why can’t there be Postwar Cyrodiil? I get the impression from the newcomers in Summerset that the three banners war is basically not a thing. Can we then have another “phase” that is PvE Cyrodiil?

(This from someone who never plays PvP, so has never even been there.)

This is my hope as well all I want for 2020 is an imperial DLC and to put the cherry on top for some people have it come with the imperial race if you pre-order or something so those who don't have it yet can play it within the new DLC but that's just an idea. Imperials are the most neglected race it's time for a change! #Imperalsmattertoo

Guess, if ZOS gonna make a right decision to develop further evolution of the timeline, then some changes to all the species gonna be made, such as rehabilitation of an imps

Personally... I wish they would add some extra new life event for DCL/Expansion themes! So everyone gets the common nine daily... but those who have access to extra regions gain extra events as well!

So we could get the "Imperial" themed one for Gold Coast.

And we could get, say, a Reachmen themed one in Orsinium.

Maybe also an ancient "Yokudan" in Hew's Bane?

Possibly a leftover Chimer themed celebration still practiced by the Ashlanders in Vvardenfell?

And maybe a re-enactment of a Dwemer themed one in Clockwork city?

And there could even be a Maormer themed one at a coast in Summerset?

And perhaps a Liilmothit themed one in Murkmire (they may be gone, but argonians could have picked up their traditions just for a desire for more partytime!)?

And possibly an Akaviri themed one in Northern Elsweyr (you know which town I am thinking of...)?

And there also could be a Draconic one in Southern Elsweyr...

And if the next expansion is in Skyrim, there is always some almost forgotten snow elf custom they could revive for this...
