Hi,

One of the popular suggested new class/skill line for the game is the Bard. The whimsical musician/thespian known for weaving songs and stories to buff their friends.

If any of the rumors were to be true, or if you could see and ideal bard brought to the game what would you like it to look like?

To start the conversation I imagine having access to many of the minor buffs. For example a good bard could perhaps weave minor expedition, minor courage, minor ward and minor evasion for themselves and teammates. This would definitely make them very welcome in either PvE or PvP content.

Another fun possibility could be play made songs. This would be somewhat difficult to pull off, for example like Octavia in the game Warframe, or like Link in Ocarnia of Time, however it could add a very fun place for players to show their creativity.

What do you think an ideal Bard class or skill line would look like?

Well you did though about buffs, but what about solo gameplay and DPS and to keep it interesting

Healing skill line "Inspire triumph" - focussing on buffing group memebers

Damage skill line "swash buckling" - focussing on debuffing enemies, breach/fracture, vulnerability etc...

Tanking skill line "heroic deeds" - focussing on synergies

If they do something with the Bard's college in Solitude, I'd rather it be a skill line than a full class. We have enough classes and they botched both of the newer classes on release and still haven't fixed necromancer completely.

That said I'd expect it to be all about group buffs/debuffs/synergies. It might actually be a good way for some classes to access things that are lacking in their skill lines.
