I suspect this has been asked and answered but I was unable to find quickly and I’m too lazy to dig. So here’s the question.

Now that we know that the undaunted event will be in January... when are the other events happening like for example, the ever popular New Life Festival

Anyone know for certain?

There are four events in each quarter, of which the Undaunted will be one in Q1 2020. In Q1 2019, we had a weirdly timed Midyear Mayhem, a Morrowind anniversary, TG+DB anniversary, and the Jester's Festival. (Refer here: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Events)
For 2020, I'm fairly sure there will be a Jester's Festival event again in March, but I'd hope that the Midyear PvP event will be rescheduled for July or August (as it should be). There were some indications in past PTS patch notes that we will have a Murkmire anniversary event at some point, possibly Q1, so it's unclear if the last event will be Vvardenfell or TG+DB... (or both if Murkmire happens in Q2 instead).

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the New Life festival would be the 19th thru the 2nd. Sounds about on par with previous New Life festivals. Could be the 6th instead since most events tend to end on Mondays. But beyond that, no telling what other events could be coming after the rescheduled Undaunted event.

What I want to know is whats happening with midyear mayhem and if there are issues with it due to the group finder then why mnot just activate the cyro part.

They don't usuall announce events until a day or two before they start. With some we can guess at the approximate timing based on previous years but others are harder to predict, either because they aren't consistent or because they've only happened once.

I wish they'd tell us what's coming up earlier, even if it was just approximate dates. It would make it much easier to plan things with friends and guilds.

(Especially the free play weekends. There's been several times I'd like to encorage a friend to try one of those, but it's such short notice I'd end up saying "I've just heard about this, if you start downloading it now you might get to play the last day or so, but I won't be around to show you anything because I made other plans" and that's a pretty rubbish introduction.)
