ESO launcher loading 32bit rather than 64 bit (eso64.exe) on my Windows 10 pro 64 bit OS

AmeenHania
So for some reason the launcher is launching the 32 bit version which lowers ur performance in ESO if you are running windows 64 bit OS. I guess i have to use the launcher to only to update from now on and to play the game load the eso64.exe which you can find in your game folder

example: "G:\Elder Scrolls Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso64.exe"

There is no 32-bit version of ESO. Or atleast there shouldn't be.

or maybe they disabled it because it underperforms? gotta test it... or for compatibility reasons between OS 32 and OS 64...so now for your nvidia settings to take affect u have to use global settings... if your running from launcher or test the eso64.exe out with your custom nvidia profile

No, ESO does not support 32-bit OS, and hasn't for a good while now.

The 32 bit version of ESO was deleted a long time ago and shouldn't even be in the client folder anymore.

The only EXE should be "eso64.exe" ...

probably have to set it with the nvidia profile inspector downloadable program for global settings if their game is blocking changes on the basic nvidia control panel

eso64.exe is the only .exe that exists in the current version of the game. The launcher can't be launching the x86 version of the .exe, on account of it no longer existing. (They removed it as an option about a year ago now, I think.)

If I'm understanding what you are saying, OP, it is Nvidia causing the problem. Nvidia still looks for the old .exe file in ESO not the new 64.exe file. Nvidia has had plenty of time to update that and, for some reason, has chosen not to.

As far as I'm aware ZOS does not employ any form of anti-tamper on the clientside.

Barely even has any anti-cheating measures..

If the nVidia Control Panel, nVidia Inspector or Geforce Experience are unable to modify or detect ESO, that is most likely on nVidia, not ESO or ZOS.

I tried using that Nvidia game thingy a few years ago, and in general the Nvidia stay-resident program was so annoying that I told Windows to stop launching it at startup. And whenever I did run it and tried to do the game scan thingy for optimizing my settings or whatever the heck it was supposed to be for, it just kept taking forever before giving me some message about not being able to do something or other. It just seemed like an incredible waste of my time as well as of my computer's CPU time.

I refuse to allow NVIDIA Experience to load period. Piece of crap.... Good thing the GPUs are better than that garbage app.

I won't even install the program. I update drivers and that's it.

Nvidia graphics cards and drivers are good but the bloatware they try to push with it is cancer. I update drivers only when it's necessary for compatibility with programs I use because cleaning up the spyware phone home diagnostics left behind is so annoying.
