Event fix Idea: Merge opal weapon style box drops into the Dawn of Dragonguard event

Is it possible to extend the time of the Dawn of Dragonguard event and just put the same drop boxes on the world dragons we will kill for that event? It can even be the same rules as the undaunted event. You get a better loot box on your 1st one of the day and then lesser loot boxes thereafter. Just rename the boxes and shift the loot tables around (while keeping opal styles as an option).

You already did a Dragon hunting event last month and it was an all outdoor world bosses event there were no issues. As long as this new event will not use activity finder or dungeons at all you should not get any lag or further issues. It also solves the problem of being forced to cancel the undaunted event and still allows people to gain access to opal styles.

It just seems like this is the best solution to both problems without too much challenge. If this event requires special access to a DLC only area, then make it free during the time of the event to keep everyone happy and let all have access.

Thoughts?

Problem : People who don't have access to that DLC would not be able to get the tickets, so it's not a fair replacement.

I would prefer if they cancelled the Dragonguard event as well. That would give them more time to make sure New Life works flawlessly. It worked well enough last year, so I hope they don't screw it up this year.
No reason why the opal stuff can't go into New Life boxes too.

I already addressed this in the original post... just make that area DLC free for the event. They have done stuff like this before. It's not outside of the realm of doable.

I must have missed that in your edit!

Yes and it probably cost them money in people who quickly play the entire DLC and walk away with all the benefits and don't bother buying it after or subscribing to get access.
And I think this whole last quarter is a different animal than before because of the charity promotion. They might be counting on some sales of the DLC as well as the base Elsweyr to help fund the donation.

Sure there's a precedent but at this point, the less they touch the better. They are clearly not checking their work well enough before things go live. Look how they screwed up Scalebreaker and let people make Necromancers without Elsweyr. And naturally people exploited it.
