Interesting. Maybe something with how Valve/ZOS do business with your country? I am guessing as it's Kr you're somewhere in Scandinavia or Iceland?

Also got an email from steam about the change.
Huh? When? Is there documentation? I can tell you right now I'm cancelling if that's the case.

Also old price 269 NOK for 3 months, is cheaper than UK costing 283NOK with 20% VAT
Sounds like what Sony did to my region. Sounds like the prices were adjusted around potential currency value changes in your country.
It took Sony 3 years after our dollar dropped to adjust the price - so you could be feeling the after effects of currency changes in your country that have happened within a period of many years.
The price of ESO Plus just roughly doubled.
What gives? No communication leading up to it at all.
Why in the world would you increase the sub price when the game is having all these problems?
And what warranted this change?

EDIT:
Country: Norway Currency: NOK

Maybe was a discount offer? Because the price currently at 269NOK is cheaper than most European countries (UK is 283NOK equivelent since 2014 for 3 months).

Just converted both this to USD and the 30 day Turelus posted for GBP and both came out to 31 USD which is still less than what the US pays.
If OP was paying half previously it would seem they are getting a pretty good deal.
That 25% value added tax is on your Country, not ZOS.
