Who Cares?

I have seen a lot of "no one cares" comments on a large variety of topics and, knowing that most platitudes are false, decided to create this poll as a (albeit probably biased) small sample of the player community that read the forums to shed some statistical light on the issue. Do you care about what your peers are discussing? And for those who like to post "No one Cares" on other people's threads, well, you can refer to this poll in the future as one source of how accurate your statement really is.

I only care about roughly half of the topics presented.

I responded "roughly half" but it's probably less than that. But I never respond with "who cares?" to anyone's topic. Just because I don't care, doesn't mean that others don't care. Different strokes for different folks!

Not interested in anything regarding high endgame and meta. Just nope. These people often seem like they gotta go out more often.

It's complicated in the sense that, you can't care and be bothered too much because statistically, what you see on the forum may not be ultimately a true reflection of current player sentiment and issues.

1. Imagine we have a player base of 10,000 active players.
2. You login to the forum and see nothing but tons of negative feedback (majority of posts you see are nothing but personal qualms or personal feedback negatively about the game) , and lets say we have 100 different people describing these negative experiences and feedbacks with their personal anecdotes.
3. Also, people with good experiences would tend not to or would not be compelled to talk about their positive experiences or about how they've enjoyed the game in the forums. And they would not go so far as to obtain an invitation to the forum to be able to do so.
4. Hence, should we care at all? Should we have a huge concern? Give a strong damm about what everyone says? Be strongly reflective about all the forum post feedbacks albeit most being negative ones? Having the impression that the game is a disaster?
5. It's complicated, maybe.. because 100 people posting complaints in these forums might just only constitute 1% of the player base, and of a particular demographic, which might not be representative of the entire population.

Just my opinion about this eh, I may be wrong and I may be making up numbers that may not be realistic or true, but you get the point eh?

True story. I care if you post in the housing forum. I want to see your homes. I want you to feel appreciated and your work recognized. Nothing hurts more than nobody caring about the house you've slaved away on.

I care about everything everyone has to say, and hardly get to play the game anymore, because I am always reading what people write in these forums!

I care about a very narrow range of topics discussed here in these forums.

I read some threads. I answer questions people ask if I know the answer, or if I have an idea about the answer. Most of it doesn't float my boat though.

I don't say things like "no one cares" though, generally.

I don't play on PC EU but still care that they're so heavily impacted by server issues.

I don't play on console but still care that they don't have access to a lot of the QOL features in the form of add-ons that we do on PC.

I don't RP but cared when that group got trolled for a solid 3 hours during an event a few weeks ago.

There are a lot of shtposts here as well, but when people bring up legit issues I can generally sympathize.

I read; I try to understand the point being made, sometimes I fail; I might respond if I have input.

The forums, even if it's a thread I'm not in love with, are more of a community-temp check for me ultimately.

I'd argue that if you take time out of your day to read or post, you do in fact care. Even just to say you don't care, you actually do.

Depends on the topic, though these days its mostly "I hate this game! I hate ZOS! I want compensation! Boycott! Leave!"

Used to care but way devs handle things hard to care when they don't care just extra stress for s*** i can't control so i just stopped caring

I care but if I am honest I CBA to engage with some of them any more. It's too much effort to debate and argue with people who just want to vent.

I’m relatively new to the game and the forums but it doesn’t take long to figure out who really cares about the game and who just wants to complain.

I don’t think I will ever tire of reading “I’m quitting” posts to see how quickly someone asks if they can have their stuff😅

The only thing I don't understand is why click on a topic you yourself do not care about.

I do care about eso, always have. Im very passionate about forums topics. I deeply dislike forums posters that think they own specific areas or topics in these forums. I think it's great if your hobby is to stream game content etc but that doesn't mean we all are in love with you and you dont own us.

I see so many forums posters express how hard it was for them to do content on pts so they could bring us their guide etc well i find those guides spoilers but they think we are so *** that unless they get out there on pts and make guides for us and take pics of every furnishing etc and write down every freaking step on how to do these achievements we might implode from our own uselesness.

These forums infuriate me at the best of times but everyone is so happy to go along with it all....there are definately people manipulating these forums ....

Those who loosely throw the phrase "no one cares" on threads are the ones who have no skill in communactiing a coherent argument and feel obligated to reply with something even though it is irrelevant and or dismissive because the subject goes against ones ideas. From most thread responses i have read, rarely a good logical argument is made!

Most responses are knee jerk reactions.
