Specifically the PvP scene?

I dunna. I have more fun in wow pvp, or playing an FPS. I liked BFV before they kept nerfing MMG's but EA sucks dirt so I quit that one.

My mainstay in MMORPG's has always been PVP, but I just can't get into ESO PVP. Too much down time in Cyrodiil, I don't like the 4 man BG's. I prefer 20v20 battlegrounds. ESO doesn't have anything that I am into.

As far as MMO's go, there is no competition. Sadly ESO with all its fails appears to be the "best" currently available. Of course if servers do not stop melting, it's not available.

For PvP, maybe try some PvP game?

Eso is a diamond in the rough. But I'm pretty sure they gave up polishing it up a long time ago.

Many people don't like it due to it's cash shop & non stop grinding, and that's very understandable but BDO is worthy competition if you just want PvP. I believe ESO community is better and more relaxing than BDO. And even though it's said that "you have to spend money" on BDO. That's not true, you can play without spending cash in BDO(I haven't), it will just take you a bit longer to make silver mainly because you will lack pets in the beginning....these items can be purchased with in-game silver from the marketplace along with costumes & etc.

With that said.....for me the game is too grindy so I don't play it consistently, I always play for 3-5months and then go away for 8months to a year because of that. It's worth trying/gaining your own opinion when they have those 7 days free to play events going on, just keep in mind that it's much different than ESO.

I would be there if there would be one. There really isn't. SWTOR is equal (imho) if we think about quality of writing and RPG-elements of, well, MMORPG. It is free to try, but if you want to get all content you have to sub at least once. Their sub is better than ESO+ on that regard, because you don't lose your content after sub ends. There is tons and tons to do, and I really liked housing there. I don't know much about PVP, expect that it has it but it is not like in ESO, it is more battleground oriented thing I think. But there are people who only PVP in SWTOR. It has also an oldschool tabtarget combat so take it as you will.

Only reason I don't play SWTOR anymore is that I played it for years and got tired, like I would got tired of any game in that time. I really liked it, and still do, I just have no motivation to play it right now.

Korean MMO's have often strong PVP-focus. I know Black Desert Online is open world PVP-game, that's why I never even tried it. Archeage, I have no idea. I don't know if BLESS is even a thing anymore, but it has open world PVP. TERA's PVP is instanced, there are no PVP-servers anymore. TERA used to be my favorite game but it is not what it used to be anymore.

Archage Unchained is basically a carbon copy of TESO but it also has sea battles.
