Stamina character

What's the best class and race for a new stamina class these days? I don't have warden or necromanacer, but I could get the warden with gold from the crown store if I wanted to.

My Redguard Stamina no-pet Sorcerer, using a Two-handed Battleaxe and a Bow, is probably my most capable character for PvE. She is wearing Stormfist, Shacklebreaker, and Sword-Singer sets.

I think Orc is still the best race, but it’s been confirmed that Stamina race balance is going to be adjusted soon. Necromancer and Sorcerer are both looking very good for the newest update. Of those 2, Sorcerer is much more fun IMO.

almost all stam races or hybrid races are comparable, and the difference is usually 1 rune being different but equating to the same effect, for instance a sustain race using a damage rune is on par with a damage race using a sustain rune. if your not playing a race you enjoy, your not going to like the character.

for instance, I don't like orcs, their lore turns me off, but I like redguard a lot, results probably vary.

class choice I would personally vote for Warden because they are the only stamina class that can do anything other then only DPS.
but to be honest most stamina classes play similar.

however I would turn you away from the nightblade, not because its bad, but because even if your a god with the class nobody will respect you, because nightblade, and nobody respects cowards.

Looks like Stamina Sorc is going to be right up at the top for PvE DPS next patch but it really depends on what youre doing. On the other hand Stam Sorc will still be towards the bottom tier for PvP even with the new Bound Armaments. Youll basically be forced into using Turn Evil and Dizzy Swing and be more pressed than ever to fit everything on your bar. Really depends what youre doing. Ultimately just pick a class you like the concept of and make it work unless youre looking for top performance in a particular area. Orc is technically top for DPS but that also assumes that your rotation and gear are perfect and that you can sustain properly which means group synergies. Otherwise Redguard or Bosmer might be a better choice. Dark Elf if you think you might want to run a hybrid type build or flip flop between mag and stam specs.

Until recently Stamina characters have been very similar for all classes since they all effectively share the same Bow backbar and many class skills are magicka based. Hopefully the new skills update(s) will provide more stam based class variation.

I love my Redguard Stam Sorc (Stormfist, Relequen’s, Tzogvin’s) he is very filthy, but I also like my orc necro. Ultimately, I think ZOS’s intention is that there isn’t a ‘best’ stam race, that each race is equally viable, but subtly different. I like the idea that the success of a build isn’t race dependent, but your enjoyment of that character might be.

I would say, play what you like. If you don’t enjoy it after L20 or so, simply roll another character.

Imperial Sorc. Redguard (if you have sustain issues), or Nord if you want increased ult gen.

Stamcro and Stamden are both legit, though, if you want to go those routes.
